Arsenal to lose focus with emotion of Wenger’s last home game?

It would be nice for Arsene Wenger as well as the Arsenal fans and players if we could approach the final home game of the long reign of the Frenchman with little else to worry about. However, there is still a big game to play which we really cannot afford tyo lose as it could have serious repercussions for next season.

If Burnley inflict another defeat on the Gunners today, it will not only spoil the send off for Wenger, as it would put the Clarets on the same points as us with just one game of the season left to play. With Burnley and their great home record hosting Bournemouth next week you would expect them to win, whereas we have a trip to Leicester and not a single away Premier League point this year.

Arsenal do not want to have the very early start to next season that would come with us finishing in 7th place so it is vital for the players to keep their focus today, but with all the high emotion surrounding this afternoon, I have serious doubts about our ability to do it.

Will today turnout to be as painful as the rest of the season for us Gooners and the departing boss?

Bob.

  1. Auba and Laca…..world class firepower plus Sub Welbeck

together with the creators….Mikhi, Ozil, Wilshere and Ramsay….

If we lose the whole team should be sacked!!!

    Free transfer immediately

  2. A professional team would never lose focus, no matter what. But with our snowflakes I expect, AS EVER, no focus at all. This lot do not have a clue what focus – or concentration , to give it its proper name – even means! But all we can do, in fact all any team can ever do , is to start from where we are. And where we are right now is at WENGERS LAST EVER HOME GAME. SO REJOICE!!!!!!

    1. Thought you were respectful in the other thread, given this is literally the same topic, I should of know better. Disgrace. I wanted the man gone too. Disgrace and 5-0 and the squad isn’t that bad and no new manager is beating his last 5 years anyway guarantee that.

  3. We won twice against Burnley in the last season because of the controversial official decisions, hence we would have a big chance to repeat the same scenario again

As what @John Ibrahim a.k.a @Hafiz Rahman said, if our creators Ozil and Wilshere cannot break Burnley’s defense despite having Aubameyang, Mkhitaryan and Lacazette in the front, they should be banished ASAP

Being barren in front of a ten men team at the Emirates was already very below-par for so-called world class playmakers. Let alone if they cannot control the tempo against a team like Burnley

  4. Merci Arsene t shirts everywhere!! And above the shop at the stadium! The sun is shining, there are gooners everywhere… I’m buzzing…. COYG

  5. Let’s just give him a decent send off and hope the new guy is installed by next week. If they put someone decent in sales will soar

  6. As much as i am happy for Wenger’s departure, i hope we win his final match for him.

  7. burnley are just as good as we are so it’s not a sure win. And as atletico ties prove, emotion means absolutely nothing. Have to actually play well to win.
