Arsenal told to UP transfer bid or FORGET midfield star

If this news is true, then it could be a blow to the hopes of Arsenal fans in having a successful and encouraging summer of spending in the transfer market, as well as being a blow to the plans of Arsene Wenger, unless the Frenchman does agree to up the offer for the Monaco and France international star Geoffrey Kondogbia.

The latest Arsenal transfer rumours reported by Metro claim that the Gunners have already lodged a bid of around £18 million for the dynamic central midfielder who did such damage to our Champions League dreams at the Emirates stadium, including scoring the opening goal in that 3-1 defeat.

But his French club have apparently laughed off the bid and told Wenger that he needs to pay nearly £25 million to get Kondogbia. With Serie A strugglers AC Milan also said to be interested in the 22-year old, maybe Monaco are trying to get an auction going, but after reports last week that Wenger had gone cold on the Morgan Schneiderlin after Southampton demanded around £25 million, how likely is the Arsenal boss to want to pay the same money for his second choice?

Is this more evidence that the prof is out of touch or is it the other clubs trying to fleece us?
