Arsenal transfer rumour round-up – N’Zonzi, Ceballos, Evans & 3 out?

We are less than a month away from the winter transfer window, and there are some interesting players linked with an Arsenal move.

Jonny Evans was strongly linked with a switch in the summer, with many believing he was lined up to replace Inter Milan target Shkodran Mustafi, but no move prevailed. We are claimed to be favourites to land him in the coming window also, and he may well look to jump from West Brom’s sinking ship.

One player who we are strongly expected to quit his club in the coming window is Steven N’Zonzi, as his club admits that he is currently training alone following a fall-out. The midfielder is currently in London visiting his son, but there is plenty of talk claiming he is eyeing a potential move, with us as favourites for his signing also.

Another central midfielder we are supposedly looking at bringing in next month is Real Madrid’s fringe star Dani Cabellos. The 21 year-old is struggling to battle with the likes of Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Luka Modric and is supposedly considering a move in search of more regular action.

Alexis Sanchez on the other hand is now being strongly linked with a move in the opposite direction. Real Madrid are tipped to be keen to bring him to the Bernabeu, and are supposedly willing to ditch Lucas Vazquez to make room for him.

Another winger who could potentially leave in the near future is Theo Walcott. The speedster is believed to have been told he can go in the coming window, but finding a club who would be willing to match his wages could prove a stumbling block.

Olivier Giroud is one who is being urged to leave, but not by anyone employed in North London. France international assistant coach Guy Stephan has called for him to leave as his current minutes is insufficient, and his place in the international squad is at risk should things continue ahead of next summer’s World Cup.

Which winter signing would benefit our team most? Could we really offload both Giroud and Walcott next month?

  1. I guess walcott will leave but we cannot afford to let giroud go at least till the end of the season. As for AS-01 and MO-11 wenger has already made it clear that they will not leave in january. Others are concerns for next summer but at the time being we could do with a CDM(maybe N’zonzi) and a CB(possibly Van Dijk)….

    1. Nzonzi is an upgrade on Coqulan who should arguably be sold
Walcott should go and we should sign Malcom to replace him. This is a young Brazilian arguably the best young wide man in France he is a match winner and has tuns of flair

Johnny Evans is shite we should go big on koulibaly

  2. Yeah I don’t see Wenger doing anything in Jan. We had seasons were we were in a better position for top spot and in the CL but he never tried make a fist of it. We are in Europa and we are going for fourth spot, Wenger will be happy with the size of his squad even though being low on CD has already hurt us, and we are short in CM because it looks like he doesn’t trust anyone other than the two there now and he’s awaiting on a Santi surprise. No I don’t see anything being done, he’ll want to see what the new set up has to say when they get a bit more comfortable. Unless he wants to show the backroom team how good he can be all by himself, I wouldn’t expect anyone arriving.

  3. do you people even learn at all. we played like that because that is exactly how mourihno want us to play.

  4. Manure fans used to go into meltdown when they saw Evans in the line up. That is how $##t he is. Get ready for another squillaci, sylvestre, cygan, santos etc

  5. Please, no to Evans. Manolas, koulibaly or van dijk would be better and if we want to go the cheap route as usual, we could go for gimenez or de vrij for free next summer. For Dm, nzonzi, periera from porto or fabinho would be good. If there is a player i want us to get before other teams turn their attention to him, it is julian brandt from leverkusen, brilliant young player and can replace ozil or sanchez as he is versatile.
