Arsenal transfer swoop for `new Vieira` at risk of Hijack?

I thought this Arsenal transfer rumour was all but a done deal, as it was being widely reported in the last couple of weeks that Arsene Wenger had secured the agreement of the player and agreed a fee with his club, Legia Warsaw, but apparently the Gunners could still be in danger of losing out on Krystian Bielik according to a Metro report.

The 16-year old central midfielder has been likened to our former captain Patrick Vieira so it is little wonder that Wenger’s interest was sparked. And the teenager and his parents have apparently been to London to check out the club and the city and all was supposedly in place after we agreed a transfer fee of around £1.6 million.

But the latest report claims that nothing is yet sealed and the Serie A club are preparing to make it a two horse race with their own offer. The Italian club have apparently set their director of football Walter Sabatini on to see if they can hijack the deal and persuade the talented young player to choose the Italian capital over the English one.

Roma and their manager Rudi Garcia are really becoming a bit of a nuisance to Arsenal and Wenger after they apparently beat us to the Greek defender Kostas Manolas in the summer. Let’s hope that we win this one!
