Arsenal v Hull Preview, Line-Up and Score Prediction

Arsenal vs Hull City Preview, Line up and predicted score by KJ

The last time we faced Hull, I’m pretty sure the majority of Arsenal fans aged 10 years on that day. We went 2-0 down within only 10 minutes. It was a shambles of a start and we gifted that to Hull. Fortunately, this team had actual bottle and they managed to salvage the FA cup from despair. What this tells us is that Hull City under Steve Bruce are a tricky team to play against.

We are in quite a pickle with all the injuries and suspensions we have. The line up will have a pretty comical defence but you still expect us to do well considering it’s a weaker team at home we’re playing against.

The likes of Wilshere and Santi will need to have strong games as dictating the play is so important with a defence as poor as ours. We can’t lose the ball in silly positions giving Hull City the opportunity to counter attack at will. Flamini and Arteta (if they both start) will have a lot of defensive responsibility and will need to ensure that Mertesacker and Monreal (most probably) aren’t easily gotten at.

Line up:
Szczesny
Bellerin – Mertesacker – Monreal – Gibbs
Flamini
Sanchez – Arteta – Wilshere – Cazorla
Welbeck

Bellerin and Monreal are going to be tested because of their lack of experience. Bellerin although extremely talented hasn’t impressed me much. He seems far too raw but this game might be one where he can adjust mentally to the top level.

Sanchez will have to provide good defensive cover for Bellerin. Wilshere and Cazorla will have the creativity of the team burdened on them and it will be difficult as I’m certain Wenger will play both Arteta and Flamini to offset the fact that we’re playing a really weak defence.

This will be an unnecessarily difficult game because of the defence and the fact that we’ve lost Özil for 3 months but we should still win. 3 – 1 to the Gunners.

ADMIN COMMENT – You are a horrible man and you will be moderated from now on. Show some respect!

      1. A few weeks back when arsenal won a couple of games you were saying positive things about wenger and you said you were going to change your name and now you’re saying stupid uneccesary things like that ^^

  1. Worryingly heard a rumour last night that semi ajayi was pulled out of the u21s at the last minute as a first team defender got injured in training.

  2. @atid.
    This would be our luck!
Physio room lists no injured defenders other than Debuchy, (6 out in total – Giroud, Debuchy, Ozil, Ospina, Koscielny, Sanogo).
Going to be an interesting game today and I hope for a 2-1 or 2-0 win.
    COYG!!

  3. Who else thinks that Hayden should start? He really impressed me in the Capital One Cup game, I think this game is a great opportunity for him to get some valuable experience and to test him. Monreal is good as well but I’m afraid that Jelavic’s height will get the better of Monreal, who’s not very tall compared to Jelavic. Hayden would have a distinct advantage over Monreal in aerial duels. If not, Arsene should sub him in around the 60th minute. While Kosc recovers, why not give Hayden a chance to prove himself?

  4. Can`t possibly see how you justify an Arsenal 3-1 victory we`ll be lucky to get away with a draw.. Yeah! I know that`s being negative but it`s nearer the truth.

    1. Cos wenger want wilshere to be the midfield orchestra. Anyway is hull, if he can’t excel than can forget about others.

  5. Don’t entertain any fear atid. there won’t be any promblem in our defense line. Semi will be more than capable to hold tightly one of our CB positions for us if what you said is not a false alarm. Bytheway, where is Isaac Hayden?

  6. Let all Gonners including myself calm down over our defensive worry. I assure every one that the Gunners will not defensively concede any ground to the Tigers come what may. Arsenal have 2 CBs to cover for our CB positions, we all know them in the persons of Semi Ajayi and Isaac Hayden. Any one of them can aerially deal with Jelavic should Monreal not be favoured to start. And lastly, Arsenal 4 – Hull City 0 FT 90+?

  7. Wers abou diaby???? Hes not injured according to phisoroom but he was not in training pictures and he did not play yesturday night for under 21

  8. Hayden for Monreal. If not for this type of game when will he be thrown in to have experience since we are out of capital one cup?

  9. I feel that Pod should be brought in at about 60th min and give him a solid 30 mins. Guy was impressive during his Germany fixture

  10. Sure we will win but with wenger in charge chances of even 4 th place are slipping away…any club that puts managers income above results is sure to go down hill .. We have had 10 years of stagnation on grounds we wanted to pack more fans in to a shiny new stadium where théy could cough up highest ticket prices in EPL ….and only winners have been wenger and board…wenger is the bill Murray of football management….just need to see the back of the man
