Arsenal fans should be getting used to some awful performances by Arsene Wenger’s team this season, but this was surely one of the worst as we actually played our very best available team, while the embarrassing defeats to teams like Nottm Forest and Ostersunds were at least played by our reserves..
If this is our very best team, then we are in trouble. We were outfought, outrun, out-tacticked and made to look like overpaid amateurs. It looked like we had given up after just ten minutes..
So here are my worst ever Arsenal ratings, and I am ashamed they have come in a Cup Final….
Ospina 2
Petr Cech has come in for heaps of criticism this season, but going by this pantomime performance by Ospina, Cech should never miss another match. Absolutely awful and sometimes comical..
Monreal 5
Once he was off our defence was practically non-existent, but as he gets older we must expect more absences like this. If he had stayed on he probably would have been Man Of The Match!
Mustafi 2
It’s not the first time this season that Mustafi has shown terrible judgement and it won’t be the last. If he is to be our defensive rock for the next few years we may as well hibernate from now…
Koscielny 3
Our so-called leader has lost his mojo and I don’t think he will ever find it again. I’m sorry to say his days are now numbered…
Chambers 4
I was worried when I saw his name on the teamsheet, but he showed a bit of fight and was easily our best defender (not difficult, I know!)
Bellerin 5
Hector was a brilliant right-back a few years ago, but doesn’t seem to be half as good as a winger but he does try sometimes.
Xhaka 3
Came to Arsenal with such promise but we really need a proper defensive midfielder rather than this wasteful wannabe
Wilshere 6
He is truly an Arsenal fighter but you can’t fight a war with just one warrior….
Ramsey 5
Looked slower than usual (not quite fit?) and had little chance to impress

Great player… blah, blah… fails to turn up in big games… blah… Same old!

Wenger said he had a great chance early but it was far from easy. He will fail if he gets the same service as Lacazette did, in other words very little

As for our players the dinosaur picks them, sticks with them and renews their contracts with salary increases so in a nutshell if you don’t perform and still get a pay rise you get lazy.

You are dead on accurate. Why do people keep wasting time trashing the players, when not one player is playing well. If not one player is playing well, not one, that should tell you there’s something bigger going on and the manager is the problem.
Bellerin is the new Walcott. 100k per week to run down the right and dutifully turnover possession as soon as he is closed down at the half way line. Beat his marker? Who needs that! He dribbles and crosses like you would imagine a championship goalkeeper would if they switched positions for a day. We save 100k on Walcott and it goes straight into the drain again with Bellerin. Just great.

its sad that wilshere gets the most praise simply for showing any type of urgency, unlike the rest of his teammates. didn’t even play great, just showed he cared even a little. Meanwhile, Ozil is happy to do nothing and make his 300k. Arsenal made a HUGE mistake offering him a contract. Huge.
