Arsenal will never pay a world class price for Aubameyang

Arsenal may not buy Aubameyang because of his price… by Konstantin Mitov

We may be selling Alexis Sanchez, but the only kind of hope on the horizon was the transfer saga with Pierre Emerick Aubameyang which in fact looks like it’ll become another piece of hot air. Arsene Wenger was questioned about Auba’s character and whether he’d fit Arsenal and he said this:

“I believe overall you look at the achievements of a player during his career and usually, when a career has been very positive, the character has been used in a positive way”. Adding it with the answer to the question of whether the deal is happening he said this: “These kind of things, it’s better when it’s secret and when you don’t come out on it, and when you announce it when it’s over the line”.

So there’s obviously interest but in reality no reports of a bid have come in and despite rumors of his agent flying in to London and the apparent presence of Lehmann in Dortmund we might stumble on the price. As we all know Arsenal live in the past in every regard and we haven’t really accepted that a world class player will cost world class money, especially in January when it’s difficult to replace such players.

Regardless of that if we don’t get him because we are too unwilling to spend all the money from the sales of Ox, Walcott and Coquelin and the highest ticket price in the world, this would be a major spit in the face of every Arsenal fan, but hey I’ve seen this too many times before to be bothered really.

  1. Please can you be more elaborate on the world class price for the sake of us who are not English and English is not our first language. Liverpool paid less 40 million for Sallah and he is dishing out class performance on daily base compare to what manu and Chelsea paid for Lukaku and Morata respectively.

  2. With all the bad news reported on by this site now days, and the complete dissaray the club is in, the only thing I look forward too is scrolling down and seeing half naked woman advertised.

    1. Glad you mentioned that! Why is there so many half naked women on this site?? Not saying it’s a bad thing but between that and some weird advertisements for some sort of gel smeared all over someone’s finger it does get me some strange looks on the train on my commute!

I try to skim through those adds as quick as poss to get to the comments but invariably it always stops an a inappropate one as the attractive lady on the train is looking over my shoulder…. ?

      1. I find my self hiding the phone screen from my GF when lying in bed, can’t be asked to explain it to her.
Maybe arsenal fans come across desperate in more than 1 way

  3. This is just embarrassing for Arsenal fans when we earn 72 Millions Pounds from Sale of Ox, Walcott and Coq and we can’t afford 54 Millions Pounds..

      1. Yea but actually made a profit in the window with the sale of the OX , Gabriel , Gibbs etc so what’s you point…….

    1. Not to mention the other deadwood in summer.

In summer window we made a profit, add Walcott, Coq and possibly Sanchez and we can get him.

  4. World Class price does that mean over price or anything over 100m???

some fans really think the real world is Fifa18

  5. I’m not sure if we need to fork out a fortune for every player look at city’s average price for a player I bet it under 40 m but they get lots of them we get 1/2 and like Xhaka turn out bang average, we need a manager who spots talent

  6. Don’t expect any marque signings. Wenger I know does not make open his transfer business. But now he just gives information on any player he is reportedly linked to. The snake is only trying to buy himself time and pacify the atmosphere at the Emirate.
He never spoke a word about Lacazette and he signed him. With mbappe, he was speaking to father, mother, uncle, granddad, agent, media, anybody who cares to listen and he didn’t sign shit.
Don’t be deceived pals the godliar manager ain’t signing no top player.

  7. OT.
it was so so important to offload the players we did – the reason (amongst others) is a team with a habit of playing sh** could not possibly attract high quality players. Those that went despite some rare glimpses of skill – ultimately were not worthy of the arsenal shirt. imo

  8. Chamberlain Gibbs and Gabriel’s
    fees paid for Lacazette.
    Walcott 20m Coquelin 12m =32m
So we need another 25m to land Auba.
Sell Giroud 12m Perez 7m and we are close.
But remember after that we still need a proper DM
and an experienced CB to replace Mertz and Koz.
Who can we sell to raise another 40m?
    Wellbeck 20m? Wilshere 15m? Ramsey 30m?
Ozil and wengers salaries combined would buy a decent DM.
May be we ask Stan for a lazy 50m?
Or just get more cheap players like 2m Holding or 3m Mavropanos.
Perhaps we raid the Academy for free players like Niles Nelson or Willock.
To think City offered us 60m in the summer for Sanchez and we said no 🙁

  9. How about we wait until the end of the transfer window before making any accusations? We might sign Auba, we might not. There are 3 parties involved, you know. The selling club, the buying club, and the player himself (along with his agent). One of those parties does not agree to something, the deal is off. So not everything is up to Wenger.

  10. Konstantin,
Why don’t you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don’t you dig how beautiful it is here?
Why don’t you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

  11. Special K is back.
Your last article was well done but this one you have turned back into a moaning biatch again.

AFC will not do something! Until they do it then it has been done.

AFC will not get rid of Theo. AFC will not buy a WC striker. Now K is saying AFC will not pay for a WC player… We already did with Laca.

I guess the men in white coats lost track of K and that’s why he got on a PC to make this article?
