Arsenal are willing to sell Martin Zubimendi this summer amid interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid, according to a report on Fichajes.
The midfielder only joined the Gunners a year ago and has been one of their best players, helping the team win the Premier League crown during his first season at the club.
Arsenal Open to Zubimendi Sale
The Gunners are delighted to have Zubimendi in their squad and would love to keep him despite the arrival of Bruno Guimaraes as a new midfielder.
However, Zubimendi remains highly sought after, and Arsenal will not stand in his way if he wants to leave or if a good offer arrives for his signature.
Every player has a price, and Zubimendi is no different. The report claims that Arsenal want €90 million for the World Cup winner, and an offer in that region would convince them to sell him.
They see Zubimendi as an important member of their squad, but for that price, it could make sense to sell him as they have more than enough cover in midfield.
Guimaraes Arrival Could Affect Zubimendi
Zubimendi could struggle to play regularly now that Guimaraes has arrived, and Arsenal may decide that the best option is to sell him while they can rather than keep the Spaniard on the bench at the Emirates.
The reported interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid could allow Arsenal to secure a substantial fee for a player who has already made a strong impression at the club. M A and A B will obviously make the decision that they believe is in the immediate and long term best interests of the Team / Squad / Club, and they shouldn’t, and probably won’t stand in Zubi’s way if a good offer comes in, at, or close to their valuation and Zubi wants to make the move.
Personally. I’d prefer him to stay and compete for his place, and keep the incredible quality in depth we have, and are continuing to build in the squad.
He did well for his first ‘settlement and adjustment season.
Now that’s behind him, and it’d be a real shame to see him move on now.
With 4 Competitions, and a genuine intention to be the first UK Club to win the ‘Quad’ – ambitious as that is – between, injuries, rotation, need to rest players, suspensions, the demands of international’s – there’ll be no shortage of opportunities for him to do his stuff on the pitch, and reclaim his place.

well before talking about the quad, just retaining PL would really be fantastic. We saw last year that we almost lost everything if Man city had not slipped up at everton. of course Zubi staying better but the club would better keep MLS if they need to sell one CM

Yes it is late and yet there are these dubious and horrific talks about selling MLS. if one is too be sold, then they should sell Zubi. Selling MLS is very dubious. 19 years old, nargin to improve. i dont understand this “pure profit” bullshit. A sale is a sale. We paid a heavy price on him but if araenal have to choose keep MLS. He is the future. this sale would be a very bad message for the academy. He played well everytime he was called upon. the sale would be even way worse than Emi martinez departure instead of Leno. Eventually we found at Ramsdale and Raya but at a way bigger price than what we got for Emi. Same will happen soon if we get rid of MLS.
I wouldn’t sell either of them,given how injuries have impacted us in the past. I don’t want Declan playing 65 games again. Too many times our players arrive in the latter stages of the season fatigued or injured- having Zubimendi and MLS for rotation solves that.

It’s not happening. “If the right opportunity came up and it was right for them and right for the club, then we’d obviously consider that” isn’t really opening the door, its just a statement of fact. No player is ever 100% untouchable, at least for the club bean counters. But there are contracts too.
The Quad is the ambition, any part of it is a plus, especially the P L and the C L if we can.
Either way established experienced quality in depth is needed and there will still be enough opportunities for the increasingly influential Academy players to shine.
Zubi is ‘too good’ to sell this year, after just one season, in my view.

I do not get the hype over Zubimendi. If we keep him, which (a little bit like Martinelli) his value to the team and financial will drop like a stone. Jesus seems to be refusing every chance to play football away from Arsenal. All three will cost Arsenal, because their time in the team, is going to be limited at best. Plus all 3 are limiting our ability to sign the likes of Yildiz and Osimhen, financially.
