Arsenal’s Juicy January Preview – 7 more games to keep us on our toes

Although most Arsenal fans on here think that the club is going through a crisis right now, the fact is that in December we only lost ONE of our 9 games, and that was right at the beginning to Man United so we are actually on an 8-game unbeaten run. Admittedly we only drew half of those but it is still better than losing!

Now we move on swiftly to January, and although Wenger will have transfers and contract talks to contend with, he will also have to oversee 7 more games – and 3 of them are against Chelsea. So let’s have a look at the full fixture list….

So in just two days time we have the incredibly crucial League game against our in-form West London rivals Chelsea, who have moved up into second place after having four wins and a draw from their last 5 League games. They are a very tough rival, but we meet them at the Emirates and having beaten them in the FA Cup Final and the Community Shield this year, and followed that up with an impressive draw at Stamford Bridge earlier this season. Wenger has quickly become Antonio Conte’s bogey team. This will be an enthralling encounter.

Then our reserves have to go to Nottingham for our first defence of our FA Cup trophy. We should be confident having only lost one FA Cup game in the last four years!

Three days later we go to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea again. It is a semi-final but as both sides have much bigger fish to fry there will be massive changes from our League meeting. The selection for the second leg on the 24th will depend highly on how we get on in the first leg I am sure.

Then on the 14th it’s back to the EPL and a trip south to Bournemouth, and with Crystal Palace and Swansea as our following League games we should be hopeful of getting a good 9 points from those three.

Our month will hinge highly on Wednesday’s game against Chelsea, and if we win that we could be in for a VERY juicy January….

  1. Yes we have played fantastic!

    Drew team 19th
    Drew team 18th
    Barely won team 17th
    Lost at home to United
Drew at home to Pool (our Wenger trophy rivals)

Specialist in failure everyone. The sooner he’s the **** outta this club, the better.

    1. Nothing to see in the League for us. Even the Wenger Trophy is gone.

Mind as well sit out until February when we get to pray on our knees we don’t get further embarrassed by the failure specialist against Swedish plumbers and masons.

      1. to my swedish meatballs he means no disrespect.
hes just saying ikea is crap and your women look like blond susan boyles
        ……
        ……….what?

  2. My predictions concerning the topic:

    Chelsea (H) DRAW
    Nottingham (A) DRAW
    Chelsea (A) LOSS
    Bmouth (A) DRAW (barely)
    Palace (H) WIN
    Chelsea (H) DRAW
    Swansea (A) LOSS

    1. If your prediction is accurate and followed by consecutive bad results afterwards, maybe we can finally say goodbye to our most achieving and longest serving manager. Thanks to Wenger to what he has given to Arsenal, but it is time to get different ideas from other people.

      1. Most achieving? Umm don’t know , not percentage wise. George Graham won Two titles, One FA cup, Two League cups, One Cup Winners Cup, One Charity Shield and One Centenary cup in six years and as a player won One title, One Inter Cites Fairs (EUFA cup and One FA cup cup) in seven tears

          1. Agreed Kenny, as we oldies do not forget, but some on here have hardly heard of GG. Unlike Wenger , GG had the nous to realise a tight defence which he coached intensively each day, is vital to success. I would take GG over Wenger allday long. Mind you, I would also take my cat over Wenger, though they both get licked! I just pray for the day Wenger is xsacked. The champers is on ice cos I really think it will finally happen in MAY, after a dismal last four months(and last decade too) and an intense Wenger out campaign , which is clearly imminent.

              1. Totally agree; “Stroller” (GG) would have known how to control and coach this current group of overpaid “pussies” and instilled pride in the shirt.

    1. and its against chelsea

dude be honest liverpools current first team
      with van dijk added

we are not in for fourth -not at all
let alone the spuds battling us

  3. Why worry about the up and coming games while this fraud Wenger is still in charge of our club. He might have a degree in economics but knows nothing about psychology. Doesn’t he realise he’s non stop ranting of these incompetent referees have made them hate him, this is the reason they love to give decisions against us. If he really loves our club like he keeps saying he does he could do us all a favour and get out immediately ,ASAP.

    1. Dean will be looking at us having to face Che next and he’ll see the small difference he can make to our season, when Chelsea score Dean will stand up, arms raised above head, saying “I am the all powerful” with a boner on.

      1. Sue again to the point, and a great reply from Jon but I’ve gotta say , Robin does make me chuckle

  4. we knew at the end of the season gone that the only chance we have of success is the europa – it pains me to say it but we are still with a chance – a remote chance in premier league competition but far as domestic and europa cup competition we are very much an active threat. #COYG

  5. OK the Chief AKB is happy with one win in five in the league. That is mid table form and we now know that that is a cause for celebration for the AKB’s. How low do we have to drop before they stop being happy with the dinosaur? Is it relegation?
I really think these AKB’s need to take a long hard look at themselves and ask has their blind love of the dinosaur taken them away from supporting Arsenal.
I await the AKB thumbs down and a few tear stained hysterical comments.

    1. Funny Ivan an AKB friend of mine went to the West Brom, came back and text me, it said “ok I finally agree with you , he’s got to go” As you say I think he’s taken long look at himself, one more converted.

    2. Unfortunately Sam P is as delusional as Wenger himself. Worships mediocrity and his pathetic articles hail the masterful manager.
