Arsenal’s new Rising Stars 2 – Joe Willock (plus Video)

Here is the second in Arsenal’s rising young stars, and this time we are focusing on the 20 year-old Joe Willock, who seems to be the youngster first in Emery’s plans to take more of our reserve players into the Gunners First XI.

Last season, after scoring 7 goals in 13 starts for the U23s, he was also introduced to the first team and scored once in the Europa and twice in the FA Cup, and was given the Number 28 in this years squad list. He has already started 6 games for the senior side this season and has usually been impressive, although it will take time him to settle completely. He is currently with the England U21 side playing in Slovenia this evening. It may be worth watching with both him and Eddie Nketiah in the side.

Emery seems to have high hopes for the lad, so let’s look at this compilation video of what he has achieved for the Gunners this season….

Enjoy!

  1. Guendouzi, Wilock, Tierney, Saka and Martinelli are all very good for their very young ages (sub23) and have time for improvement
