Arsenal’s rumours so far (plus Dembele!) and how to keep within budget

Arsenal’s rumour roundup by Sean O’Hara

Guys as we are all aware Arsenal have a budget of around £70m to spend in Emery’s 1st transfer window plus whatever money we generate from player sales. As we are Arsenal we will be looking for a few gems to snatch up & maybe a few freebies to add to whatever we spend. This is all gossip we read everyday although just an update really;

Lichsteiner – RB cover for Bellerin who just took the no 2 jersey for this season isn’t going anywhere. He stagnated under Wenger & with no competition for his position its been too easy for him – though i believe he has played far too many games, rotation is needed, he will show more of what he can do under Unai. Free Transfer!

Sokratis – New Exp CB to fill the void left by Per & Koss’ Injury for next 6 months. Him & Boss will be the exp in the CB role. If Dortmund want €18m, I would be happy with that piece of business. All thats needed is another young talented CB to be groomed & that looks like;

Söyüncû – 21yrs of age, fully starting Turkey international already, a two footed ball playing CB who has speed, aggression & is good in the air. He reminds me of a young Carlos Puyol. €35m, though add-ons means it could cost more in the long run. His previous club get 25% of a future transfer. Worth a gamble? I believe so, can’t be any worse than what we have had for years. Mavraponas & Soyuncu can battle out for the youth side of the CB roles. Add Chambers for the defensive utility man & we could be set.

Monreal (this will more than likely be his last season with us) & Kolasinac for LB battle this season. Lichsteiner & Monreal will be replaced next summer as we can’t do it all in one transfer window – as we don’t have loads of money to spend. Experience is what we lack in our defensive line & Lichsteiner has that in abundance, even if its just for one season.

A new GK is being seriously looked at to be recruited in the summer, though I have no clue as to who that may be? Leno from Leverkusen for €22m apparently is one of the names in the hat. Out of this maybe scenario we possibly could spend €18m Sokratis, €35m Söyüncü & €22 Leno – €75m, basically al our budget if this happened.

With all this happening it leaves a few defensive player’s futures in serious doubt in Ospina, Mustafi, Jenkinson & Holding though a loan for the latter is a high possibility with the other 3 adding some money to our transfer kitty as we still need a solid DM & that will cost a lot if its a big name. How much would we get from these player sales? €5m, €18m, €4m? Holding loaned out! Roughly €27m if were lucky.

Beside this CDM we have a few things to discuss in Ramsey, Wilshere & Xhaka. Elneny just took the no 4 jersey, just signed a new deal & is our midfield utility man to play in various positions, so Mo is going nowhere unless we get a silly bid from someone for him which is very unlikely. Wilshere has put it out there “A new chapter”. It looks like he’s off but keeping Ramsey in vital, just give him Jack’s wages on top of his own & we havn’t spent anything. If he doesn’t sign then we have to sell as Aaron is coming into last year of his contract unfortunately.

Xhaka needs a paragraph to himself here. This is not a defensive minded player but can spray a ball across the pitch & has a monster of a shot on him (restricted by Wenger to not shoot from distance). I don’t know what his position is to be honest, same with Jack, though if we keep Ramsey & Niles steps up, then selling Xhaka is a real possibility this summer. What would we really get for him, £20-£24m at best in my opinion. We may have to as we also need a winger buy again. We may sell Perez along with him to add more money. No point in having players in the squad who are not going to make a difference.

Left footed winger is the desired position we need in Attacking sense. There are plenty of names out there but i think that’ll be the last signing we make in the window, if we even do – it’s Arsenal don’t forget. I will throw this one out there & it has got real momentum behind it for a few reasons;

Demebele LOAN from Barcelona with Option to Buy!
1. Greizmann is on his way to the Camp Nou so he wont get any playing time, though he is rated highly, in front of Messi, Suarez & Greizmann.
2. Aubameyang & Himself formed such a strong bond that he has even stated his wish to play with him again, Auba is 29 so this could be last chance to play with him.
3. Our new director is from Barca, he has good ties with them, as Arsenal do too though we have had our moments with the catalans.
4. It will cost us nothing bar his wages until maybe next summer but by then we will have money again to upgrade our frontline.

it makes sense & the boy could develop under Emery/ArsenalFC.

This is all ifs, buts and what-ifs but this is what silly season is all about, & we have a new light at the end of a long dark tunnel in Unai Emery coming in to shake up this squad along with the new team set up in Ivan, Sven & Raul.

    1. Liverpool will get him now salah is injured bcoz klopp has already told balague he’s interested! Plus dembele won’t be free bcoz there’s always a fee for the loan then we have to pay his wages so I don’t think this small skint club like Afc will do such an EXPENSIVE loan.
Last year we brought Lacazette and kolansinac on a free so we had £60 mil to spend just like this year we have about £60 mil but the price for players is not £35 mil anymore like Alexis n higauin were a couple of years ago and the last season players could be brought at that kind of price, Wenger wasted the money on Xhaka n Mustafi so this season we have to rectify them 2 signings in a market we’re CBs go for 60/70 mil lol
Arsenal’s budget is so pathetic there’s no room for error at all, each signing needs to be a Henry or a Viera type gem for peanuts. Mpabbe was the last gem we nearly got for free but like the last few years we missed out AGAIN so the wait for a youth player to come through or some French kid that supports Arsenal to choose us then become the next Henry continues
I was getting excited after Emery joined, but today iv woke up and realised we really do have £60 mil only to spend and how ridiculous that really is. The game has passed us buy and the days of Alexis for £35 mil have turned into van dijk for £75 mil or mpabbe for £130 mil or neymar for £220 mil and the only way we can catch up is if clubs want to buy our players for £100 mil after we develop them like Liverpool did with coutinho n saurez so like I said we have to find gems again we no room for error at a reasonable price then sell them to the big clubs for big boy money to compete again
Sorry for the long speech but it’s depressing waking up and realising my once big club only second to Man Utd in English history are now the new Swansea city

      1. I told u guys Liverpool have just brought Fabinho for £43mil 2 days after loosing in the CL final lol like said earlier I wouldn’t be surprised if they get dembele on loan either to replace salah if they can’t get the best AM in France Fekir to add to kieta, mane, firminho, salah, Fabinho, lallana and the Ox

  1. We can accept that for now. That is a good beginning for Arsenal until we get some additional funds during the transfer window.

    1. “ARSENAL MADE LATE FABINHO BID

Arsenal failed with a late attempt to sign Fabinho, according to Sky sources.”

You know what the reaction would have been if it were to be Wenger still in charge.

      1. Sky sports said Liverpool acquired Fabinho for £45m, and we made a late play for him, that means we may have more than £70m to spend. It wouldn’t make sense to spend more than half of your transfer funds on one player when there are other areas such as GK, CB calling for attention.

  2. When you realize Auba’s age it is an utter joke that he wasn’t aloud play in Europe for us. Now he must be worried about getting CL football again, he has another season with us in Europa but he should’ve been aloud to play last season. It was very petty for them to change the rule but not scrap it straight away. We’ll be able to rest players again this season so hopefully we will finally start a season as we mean to finish it.

I’m not sure about big clubs loaning another big clubs player. We give him the platform, try to build him up, esp because he’s young, and then Barca take him back if he looks great or sell him if he stank the place up. We should concentrate on getting young future stars for ourselves, Fekir Forberg Goretzka Rabiot Draxler, we should only take Dembelle if we have an option to sign him next season.

    1. I would think any loan agreement would have an ‘option to buy’ clause with either a fixed price or within a range at a mutually agreed price.

      1. Barca wouldn’t mind loaning dembele to us bcoz we are a small club in the Europa league now so we’re not barcas competition no more and as for option to buy lol I don’t think u want the club to be paying of dembele for the next 10 years cause he ain’t that good lol can we even afford Fekir or Forsberg coz last time I looked we only have £60mil and need a whole backline

        1. Just seen that Forberg is 26, that changes things a bit I thought he only broke through two seasons ago. It’s a wonder he wasn’t snapped up before now if he really is a quicker Eriksen or of a De Bruyne mold. Not sure what to think with this rumour now.

    2. If aubameyang was really worried about playing top flight football, why did he choose to play international for Gabon? He was born in France played right through to under 21 level, then chose to basically never play at a world cup.

I would say playing champions league football is not that much of an issue to him. The smile he plays with suggests it is about enjoyment for him. “

      1. Auba has closer ties to his Gabonese dad than to his mom. I think that could be the reason to play for Gabon.
Also, when young, it didn’t seem he could be good enough to compete with top French attackers. Me thinks.

  3. Cannot see Barcelona loaning such an expensive player like Dembele, when you consider their outlay last season. If they sign Greizmann as well, then they have to start recouping some money, especially with the Camp Nou expansion. He wasn’t very impressive anyway, so they wouldn’t be missing him, although he has great potential.

If we could get him on loan then that would be fantastic! We badly need a winger, but the defensive part of the team needs to be the priority.

  4. how about for once we exceed our budget….we spend big for a change…..

get 5 or 6 quality players and sell 5 or 6 of our poor players

  5. I think your comments spit on about transfers. An experienced CB to organize back line, and buy time (year or so) for Mavro and Holding to come good.

Soyuncu can rotate with Mustafi until he’s ready, so we look steady with CB. The free RB is perfect transfer. Competition for Bellerin, and can actually teach him defending and positioning.

    GK Leno is good business.

However still need a DM, years pass and no real DM. And wingers also. Welback not threatening, neither is Iwobi; always felt he’s a CAM not winger. And Nelson not ready yet to consistently deliver.

Welbeck and perez sales could maybe fund winger. Xhaka sell could fund new DM.

All in all it appears window coming together nicely for a change, and targets possible if we can move several players for decent return. It is Arsenal though, and I’ve learned not to count Benzema’s before they hatch.

  6. 20 millions for a 30-year old Sokratis with no resale value and a friggin 2-year contract would be the worst business in a long time. Forget him, and keep Mustafi. Soyncu, Mustafi, Mavropanos, Holding, Chambers – should be enough.

WE NEED CDM SO BADLY. Also, Santi is gone. So we need a replacent for him as well.

Leno, Lichtsteiner, Soyncu, Fabinho, Torreira. That’s just for starters!

      1. Not really.

Per minute they both made a similar number of mistakes, so the jury is still out. Don’t forget that unlike the useless Xhaka, Mustafi at least has some pace, so a new coach could yet make him good enough for a top 4 team. More than that, I just don’t see it, but that’s the best we can hope for next 2, 3 years.

        1. Mustafi is simply a bad defender. His stats aren’t really worth looking at because stat-wise he’s best in Europe lmao (check whoscored). watching him week in, week out he is just bad though. Chambers also had a rough Arsenal career, but there has definitely been a ton of improvement to his game and unlike Mustafi he has some composure. Neither are starters of course but Mustafi goes for more money, and is not going to get any better so I think he should be sold over Chambers.

  7. When Klopp joined Liverpool, their season was hampered by huge injury numbers due to the introduced high intensity game. Emery is going to introduce a similar high intensity style. To avoid failing again due to injuries, we need excellent subs for each critical position.

  8. Dosent this just highlight how badly Wenger mis-managed the squad over the last few seasons? The debacle of last pre-season when it looked like Ozil &Sanchez were off. Then not. Then January again but this time Sanchez was off (only he went to play for the WRONG CLUB with the WRONG MANAGER so serves you F***ING right you twat).Wilshere now deciding whether to stay or go.Ramsey with only a year left.So too Welbeck.Lost Santi who is a big big loss.
This situation must NEVER be allowed to happen again.
No World Class keeper.Defence(sic) all over the place.Still no midfield enforcer. No natural pacy winger.
Emery has a lot of work to do and a bigger job than just getting us to perform again.Thankfully we now have Sven and Raul to sort out the background dealings as it’s obviously more than a one man job to right the many wrongs we have at the moment.

    1. Phil, a perfect summing up of WENGERS COMPLETE HOPELESSNESS AND TOTAL INABILITY TO MANAGER A 21ST CENTURY RUN CLUB. He made just about every mistake it is possible to make. I can never forgive his flat refusal to even try sorting out the defence and CDM charade that went on for a whole decade. Unforgivable!

      1. JF-Who scouted Xhaka?Who scouted Mustafi?Who decided that Xhaka was a better option for us than Kanye when the player would have signed for us over Chelski?Who made the decision to offload Schezny to Roma when he would have benefited being understudy to Czech for a couple of seasons like he has now after being No2 to Buffon at Juvenile.Who decided that Iwobi is better than Lucas Perez. And of that was the case why did we sign Perez in the first place?
Some very strange decisions that are baffling in the extreme.

        1. Spot on and his ineptness is far worse when it comes to buying CB’s, even apart from Mustafi. He has only bought one who was proven good- but is now finished anyway,in Koscielny. Prior to that it was Sol Campbell but those two are dwarfed by the huge list of dud CBs going back to Cygan. He is the very worst manager for defence at any PREM club since the Prem began. When you consider Burnley and how they defend, with no money available and then look at our spineless, pampered, excuse ridden snowflakes floundering around, it is sickening. Among all the things that have happened these past few weeks since his sacking, I sometimes get really joyful by remembering that he actually WAS sacked and so will never be able to make so many mistakes ever again. At least not with US!

          1. just wanted to add that many people go on about the price of defenders but Jon you’ve just hit the nail on the head. Teams like Burnley. Defence can be taught something Arsenal obviously havent bothered to spend much time on at the training ground. I think the defence can be sorted, well certainly improved with just a change of focus or attitude. Mustafi a weak link but the rest can improve. Lichsteiner a good move but then I think the DM role is possibly more vital to fill. And if we still need defenders and have little budget then scour the lesser premier or championship teams I reckons there’s some bargains to be had without paying European prices.

          2. Granted he wasn’t the best at finding defenders Gallas, Vermaelen, Kolo Toure were gems when we signed them. He was horrible the last 5 years after the stadium debt was stable but he deserves respect from prior 2013

        2. Lucas Perez was signed because Wenger wanted Laca. Wenger finally got Laca… I wonder why the board bought Perez as well.

I also wonder why the board bought Welbroke when Wenger has said he only wanted him on loan… Think of his wages and the cost to buy him ontop of the cost and wages to buy Perez.

Then I wonder about Elneny, Wenger spoke to Xhaka 6 months before we bought Elneny and Wenger still pushed for AFC to sign Xhaka 6 months after they bought Elneny…

To be fair on Xhaka, it was Wengers tactics that hurt him, he done well before joining us and does well internationally… Just not replicated that form for us, managers fault IMO. Buying Xhaka wasn’t the problem, the tactical stupidity was.

      2. Wenger did ask for a CB in Jan.
Wenger may have picked the wrong players but to say he flat out refused is wrong.

        Bitter old man.

  9. Appreciate your thoughts and here’s my worthless 2
cents on the necessary summer reshaping of AFC under our new gaffer.

    Players Out:
    Welbeck— $13M
    Ramsey–$40M
    Xhaka—$25M
    Ospina–$5M
    Perez—$8M
    Holding—$10M

$101 million recouped and added to the $70M supposedly available. $181 M total to spend

    Players In:
    Fabinho–$40M
    Koulibaly–$90M
    Seri—$35M
    Rico–$16M
    Lichsteiner—free
Dembele–2 year loan with option to buy

    Auba
    miki…Ozil…Dembele
    Fabinho…Seri
    Saed…Koulabily…Mustafi..HB
    Rico

    Bench: Laca..Lichsteiner..Cech..Iwobi..El Neny..Nacho..AMN..Mavro..Boss..Chambers
    Nelson…Nkiteh..

A dream team yes but honestly a supposed BIG CLUB that has EPL and CL title aspirations could easily make this happen.

    1. Ramsey has only one year left and is ageing. We will get nowhere near £40 mill for him. More like £15-20mill tops, unless he signs a new contract.

      1. To be fair we got big money for Ox, with only one year left, injury prone, and apart from about 5 months, he did nothing for us. Ramsey also being a homegrown player adds value. I think £30-£35 million possibly? I really hope we sell him though, we badly need a huge upgrade in midfield!

        1. @Adam Criniti-That would be some squad if we could get it.Im in two minds about Ramsey. If Emery can get him to stop his pirouettes and little flicks that never seem to come off and just concentrate more on linking play and getting on the end of things like he does so well then he is a player.BUT then again he is not irreplaceable by any means.Same goes for Wilshere who should be out now as far as I’m concerned

          1. Signing Koulibaly/Fabinho/Seri/Dembele (loan) would make such a statement in the EPL and Europe that a sleeping futbol giant has been awaken and is about to reclaim its rightful spot among the worlds best clubs.
And all it would require is selling a handful of players that the majority of Arsenal fans dont believe are good enough to feature for the club anyway.

Let me restate that, Koilibaly/Fabinho/Seri/Dembele can all be Arsenal players without obliterating the transfer budget.

            1. I agree about needing a cdm, how can Liverpool sign Fabinho and we were nowhere to be seen! We need to dithering it’s obvious what we need another top player missed out on because the board aren’t interested.

              1. No, it’s Wenger’s fault we didn’t get Fabinho. That penny pinching old man who has control over all transfers at Arsenal. He is yet to begin the clear out. Imagine signing a 33yr old Juventus reject that was a sub last season. Horrible transfer business by Wenger yet again!

          2. As soon as we bag Forsberg to fill in Carzola spot sell Ozil and bring in Fekir and sell Welbeck and get Dembele on loan

        2. Also dude, the guy didn’t use a pound sign…

Dollar sign but did he mean euros as transfer fees can be talked about in Euros?

40 million euros is around around £35 million which is what we got for the Ox, as you pointed out ^.^
To think Rambo would go for less than the Ox when Rambo has performed more than the Ox… It would be bad business and a clear indication that Gazidis needs to be rushed out the door.

          1. I will tell you something Midriff-Ivan Gazidis took on Wenger and won that battle hands down.He said he would bring about change and he has started.I can assure you that for the first time in a very long time we might just have something to get excited about. And that is down to Gazidis. He won’t be going anywhere for a very long time

            1. Yes, I’m salivating at the prospect of signing a finished 33yr old right back from Juventus who was number 2 in his position at right back throughout the season. Exciting times indeed.

          2. Yes Euros my friend, as thats what we will pay to the foreigns clubs. Thats theor apparant pricetags.

      2. I tend to agree with JW ‘s Ox comparison below but I agree that $35M for Ramsey would still be a
no brainer. I personally have nothing against the Welshman and rate him as a good player but with
Ozil signing an extension and surrounded by the likes of Auba, Miki, Laca in the attack force AFC simply don’t need a supposed B2B midfielder constantly and carelessly bombing forward. I appreciate his work rate but far 2 many times his selfish runs into the box result in final 3rd congestion as well as exposing Xhaka or El Neny in the center of the pitch. A Seri/Fabinho is exactly the midfield axis Arsenal fans have been clamoring about for years.

  10. Could Jack Wilshere’s ‘new chapter’ comment mean a new chapter for the club post Wenger?

    Just a thought!!

    1. Let’s face it Jacks not the sharpest tool in the box is he?Even he probably has no idea what he was saying

      1. Could it be that no one gives a shit what he meant?
If he wasn’t a footballer he would be flipping burgers at McDonalds or hod carrying – something that requires no brain.
        Jack Wilshere has no brain…

  11. Prepare for a shit summer of disappointment.
    Arsenal are not kidding anyone.
No one with a right mind would believe we can challenge.
We won’t even be good enough for top five.
    Rubbish…

  12. I think when we’re talking about potential transfers and the cash we have available everyone seems to forget that the cost of wages needs to be considered with this £70m budget too.

If we bring in a £35m player on wages of £120k a week, that’s an extra £6.2m gone from the transfer budget.

£70m is nothing in today’s market but it’s even less when you have to think about wages too.

  13. Arsenal need a top midfielder. Ramsey/Xhaka/Wilshere/Ozil will not win you EPL, or even get back into UCL. CB,GK,CM, Winger. Of course a CDM as well but I just don’t see it happening. Arsenal like Xhaka for unknown reasons. Welbz, Mustafi, Ospina out, and lose Wilshere’s wages. Arsenal surely need to get a big name this summer if we want to be taken seriously

  14. Sokratis is another cheaper version of Mustafi. Dortmunds defence was poor last season and Sokratis was an integral part of that defence.I,m surprised Mislintat has identified him as a solution to Arsenal,s defensive woes but i,m happy to be proved wrong. The young Turkish target is the real deal and we should concentrate on getting him.

  15. Better sell
    1 Cech & Ospina
    3 Jenkinson
    4 Brahmal
    5 Akpom
    6 nketiah
    7 Perez
    8 Wilshire
& buy Leno and take reserve goalkeeper (Macey), bring Campbell back then top up that amount on 70 million then Arsenal is back on track

  16. To be honest here Ramsey, Xhaka, Iwobi, Mustafi, Chambers, Holding, Niles, Nelson, Campbell n Welbeck are not bad only that they have been lacking a good coach so to me they need this season under Emery’s instructions then if they fail they’re not good at all and y is that Klopp n Pep all need Wilshere, that guy is really talented but Wenger was a failure not utilising Jack’s talent

  17. I’ll throw this out for all to consider…

Emery will be given £70 million for a player (or players) of his choice, this is not part of the clubs plans to reinforce the squad with quality, it is literally money that the manager can buy a player of his choice with…
Signings made on the recommendation of Sven may not be part of that fee.

    1. I thought that could be the case but then when you read Emery has to just coach & select the players but players that are brought in from Ivan, Sven & Raul to work with. Scenarios even a PSG, im sure Emery didnt walk in and say “right i want Neymar, pay the release clause” he got told “Neymar will be coming into the squad, u just train him & he starts every game”.

      1. I just wish someone would provide references for where the figures of £50 million to £70 million comes from. I don’t think anyone knows and only time will tell at the close of the transfer window.

    1. Yes we knew he was available for like staphan but is not something we need – Socratis, soyuncu,Evans or Benatia will be good addition to replace Mustafi, Kozy, Mert

    1. Naby keita
      Fabinho
      Fekir

Behind the holy trinity …incredible .

We are gonna be so far behind it’s laughable

  18. Fabinho in talks with Liverpool, Sky sports!! Thats him off the transfer list, they have Keita comin in also. Liverpool could be the real deal next year, then maybe Fekir. Fair play to them for having a set & splashing all the cash earned as club this year. Way it should be at every big club, which we are miles off with Stan running the show from the states. Get this man out of our club!!

    1. That’s the difference the income from the Champions League makes for a club; Arsenal has foregone this income for 2 years losing £100 million!

  19. Fabinho to LFC is sure to anger fans. A position that has been needing filling for so long and Arsenal linked with aging defenders instead. Arsenal are in big trouble if they refuse to invest. Wenger was just the first victim of the fans fury if Stan thinks he can satisfy fan base by penny pinching. Playing with fire yet again

  20. Jesus christ… we need to pull our fingers out & get snapping players up before Liverpool snatch them all ☹

  21. It has been confirmed by Liverpool
Fabinho is joining keita at anfield

Like we didn’t need a feking dM
Both those two at arsenal .my dream

It’s OK give me 34 yr old bench warmer and 30 ur old sokratis

    This is bulls###

Doc brown said it best in back to the future …where arsenal are going …we don’t need players

    1. Even Petit came out today and seemed not happy with our 50mln transfer kit, on another side he begged arsenal board to bring more mature/experienced players atlast for a years something Unai is doing right now!! it’s too early guys

      1. Continue your Wenger hate by deflecting attention with the useless excuses you are making for Gazidis and his new management colleagues.

The early days have already shown what Wenger had to endure to keep Arsenal in the top 4. The next couple of seasons would further bring reality to your deluded eyes and expose the uncouth hypocrites you and the likes of Jon Fox are.

        1. Don’t hate Wenger I just dislike him for not being honest with Arsenal fan for the last ten years lying on transfers and keep mediocre players based on loyalty to him

And for Gazidis and new structure stay tuned and they started business last January and more to come this summer

  22. Please someone tell me we’re not in for a summer of disappointment?? I thought things were changing for the better… Fabinho has been snapped up & we’re being linked with every Tom, Dick & Harry, even bloody 34 year olds!!

    1. Calm down Sue, our defense need him than bellerin, also Socratias, Mehdi, Soyuncu and John Evans we really need those in defense and on DM side leave that to Sven he will suprised everybody and offensive side i hope and pray we get Forsberg will be a good start towards rebuilding another biggest problem is no just have 1st 11 but squad depth is very important when liverpool played Madrid last satuday when they lost Salah it was over but on madrid side thats not the case there is a reason why Pep brings in more players

        1. I don’t take his word for it .
I take no ones when it comes to arsenal

We’ve not had a dm since Alex song and a proper one since g Silva

          An Liverpool get fabinho
          With keita en route

We faffing with defenders on a decline
          Great lovely .

World Cup gives me excuse to get mashed .
          Come on Colombia !!!

        2. That used to be wenger’s way, when you come to transfers stuffs Sanllehi is the master something we didn’t have before my feelings we will have great transfer window

            1. Thanks, i am pretty we will be back again as arsenal know and trust me have been in a lot of pain in the ten years

              1. Yeah we have all been in a lot of pain these last 10 years but like you I trust the new Management Team to get it right in this window.Weve made a good start. We now seem to have a COACH and it’s been a long time since we had one of them at our Club

  23. Let just hope the loan deal works out.Liverpool are doing a great transfer business, they have just signed fabinho from Monaco

  24. We are in our transition period so we should expect things to be done carefully. Liverpool went through the same thing before they can comfortably put 40 – 80m on single player. They have being selling well so that they can buy quality. Henry is not putting his own money into the club. How long will it take manu to give the them 80m for their right back.

    1. We generate more financial income than Liverpool so the money is there to spend. We need to get the right players in and th e good thing about the Europa League is it gives us a chance to play the second string like last year.We WILL get Top 4 this season don’t panic.Keep the home form up and just improve on our pathetic away form of last season and we are there.
Let’s face facts.Citeh will romp home again.Manure will be much the same but we CAN get up there with most of last seasons squad and just a few right additions. This window isn’t over by a long way yet

      1. I see also we submited late be to get Fabinho but it’s i think ManU are getting better player in Fred who take Fabinho place in last 23 but in our part Forsberg is a must sign and we should sell Ozil and Welbeck what do you think??

          1. Why are we submitting late bids do we not have an idea who we want need
Our players should already be lined up
            And bids offered
            Usual
            Penny pinching

We are already miles behind Liverpool and getting further away

      2. Liverpool have significantly closed the talent gap with the additions of Salah/VVD/Fabinho and Keita over the past few windows. If they land Fekir and sort out there goalie situation I honestly think they’ll seriously challenge City in the EPL and be right back in the CL final.

Meanwhile at the Emirates Arsenal are set to sign 34 year old Stephen Lichsteiner on a free transfer.

Says all you need to know about our beloved club

          1. It’s all Wengers fault isn’t it?
He is gone and yet the same areas that need addressing are not addressed. Other clubs signing players we are linked to.
Wenger was simply a well paid fall guy for the board and owners.
The truth is, Arsenal do not spend money not made from player sales. No extra transfer funds are provided and the club, not the manager has the final say on buys.

        1. Who would rather have Stephen Lichsteiner or Jenkinson? when we talk about quality Berellin is not even close to this guy – and yes Liverpool can have their target we are going also to do our things!!

          1. You are talking a whole load of bullshit. So there are no other right backs in the league, we had to go sign a 33/34 yr old bench warmer who has been discarded by Juventus?
Last season Spurs signed 2 fantastic fullbacks from premier league teams below them at cheap rates.
Davies came Swansea and Trippier came from Burnley. They also signed the Ivorian fullback from PSG to replace walker who was sold to City for 50M
The great head scout/recruitment couldn’t find a good enough backup from all the premier league teams below us. Wow! Great times indeed.

        2. Adam
Don’t be scared by that PSG did and Man did but could’t even make to Champion League semi final!! buying expensive players is one thing and playing together as a team is another
