Arsenal’s swap offer for Julian Alvarez is back on

As Julian Alvarez prepares to return to Atletico Madrid from his long off-season break, Arsenal remain interested in signing him and are reportedly planning a swap deal to add him to their squad.

The Spanish side insist that he is not for sale, and they certainly will not sell him to Barcelona, the club he wants to join. This could leave Arsenal in a stronger position to sign the forward during this transfer window.

The Gunners see Alvarez as an ideal player who could improve further at the club, and they are reportedly prepared to sacrifice Viktor Gyokeres to bring him to the Emirates.

Arsenal consider Alvarez swap deal

The Swede has only been at Arsenal for around a season, but the club are now looking to include him in their offer to Atletico Madrid to bring Alvarez back to England. Fichajes report that Arsenal’s latest proposal is a player-plus-cash deal, with Gyokeres included as the player.

Gyokeres enjoyed a fine first season at the Emirates, although it cannot be considered a spectacular campaign. Despite this, Arsenal still regard him as a top player and recognise what he can offer to the team.

However, their desire to sign Alvarez could lead them to consider a significant change to their attacking options. Including Gyokeres in a deal would represent a major decision, particularly after the striker completed only one season with the club.

Arsenal willing to sacrifice Gyokeres

Arsenal have closely followed Alvarez’s situation and appear determined to explore every possible route to secure his signature. The club believe the former Manchester City man could become an important player for them and are prepared to make difficult decisions to complete the move.

The Gunners’ willingness to include Gyokeres demonstrates how highly they rate Alvarez. Although Gyokeres remains a valuable member of the squad, Arsenal could see the opportunity to sign Alvarez as one worth pursuing.

Atletico’s stance could still make the deal difficult, particularly as they continue to insist that Alvarez is not for sale. Nevertheless, Arsenal appear ready to test that position with an offer involving Gyokeres and additional money.

The proposed swap would therefore be a significant move for Arsenal, with the club potentially sacrificing a player who has only recently joined to secure Alvarez.

      1. “Do Gooners want any.players”
I’d hijack Forests move for Demble instantly.
Don’t let him go there for just £40M, get him in the mix here.

Remember that amazing through ball he played against us couple of months ago. He does this as side hustle for utterly sound centre back.

Forest get OD for just £40M, Arsenal and Liverpool in £60M bidding war for Konsa? If we sign Konsa for more than Forest pay for OD, sack Berta on the spot IMO.

There’s another player I demand the club sign instantly like yesterday, I won’t mention that name again as I could be boring you with talk of all these players I want signed.

  1. That’s not happening.
Arteta says Gyokeres is 100% staying
Plus, that kind of arrangement doesn’t make sense

  2. As mentioned above, Arteta has stated, when asked a straight question about Gyokeres – He’s Staying.

As I’ve said before, in other posts:

Gyokeres showed real commitment to joining Arsenal in last year’s Transfer Window negotiations.

Alvarez is ultimately committed to Barcelona.

IF IT AIN’T BROKE – DON’T FIX IT.

    Drop The Swap.

  3. As much as I hate to say it, if the two Argentinan join from here,

Arsenal will be as mean as they get, Alvarez and Romero

  4. I don’t support us having Alvarez at the cost Gyokeres. Arsenal is at the level of buying a player who truly wants to play for us. We should not be begging players to come to us. If they go on to do it, it will send wrong signals to other of players having witnessed the Contributions of VG14 and what he went through before forcing his way to the club.
Alvarez is good player but not a spectacular one. Since he does not really want to come, he may end up a flop.

  5. Xabi Alonzo really want zubimendi at Chelsea and arsenal must not sanction that move at all cost and if zubimendi wants out, arsenal should demand 100m and above.
Beside enzo Fernandez wants out of Chelsea, I take him to strengthen the midfield further and sanction a straight swap instantly. Imagine enzo, rice, guimaraes, (skelly, merino) in that midfield setup.
Arsenal must be ruthless and demand premium for the players. No more selling on the cheap.
