Arsenal’s value drops significantly but still remain in the top ten most valuable teams

Arsenal has taken a major hit in their value in the latest value figures released by KPMG and published by Football Benchmark.

The international accounting firm has been monitoring the values of football teams around the world and they have released their latest numbers for European clubs.

Six Premier League teams make up their top ten of the ranking that is still being led by Real Madrid,

The Spaniards saw their value increase by 1.5% to remain top of the standings while Manchester United also remain second, but their value did drop by 2%.

The biggest mover is European champions and Premier League champions-elect, Liverpool. The Reds moved up two places with an increase of 19.3% to see them move into the fifth position.

Arsenal dropped down two places to be placed 10th on the table, having lost 13.2% of their value over the past 12 months.

Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City are the other Premier League teams who are ahead of Arsenal in the standings.

Arsenal has had a tough time in recent seasons and Unai Emery’s failure to improve on what Arsene Wenger left has seen the club continually decline both on and off the pitch.

However, Mikel Arteta has made a fine start and fans will hope that the Spaniard will see a turnaround in fortunes at the club.

  1. The faster our asset value drops the greater the chance that Scrooge Kroenke will be forced to sell to a proper human being . Possibly even to someone who actally gives a damn for the club and would run it properly and with interest. So this fall may actually be good news in all but the short term. Expect far biggerstill falls in all clubs value to come but in ours more than most other top clubs, merely because Kroenke has presided over a massive decline, until this virus, seemingly without ANY concern. Covid 19 has now given him something HUGE to worry about, which must be to the good of Gooners.

  2. What has all that profit gathering gotten us, all those seasons when we boasted – we’re running a self sufficient model.

I wonder if now we can let ourselves go into the red a wee drab, we know what we’re capable of at doing the self sufficient thing, maybe it’s time that some money comes in to help us get a few of the top top players to bring the best out of Martinelli, Saka, Saliba, Guendouzi, and Pepe & so forth.

I’d love us to get that German playmaker / goalscorer …Havertz, talk about composure, the kid is great to watch, people will pay good money to watch himself along with Martinelli and Saka.

Top CM brought in along with a top CB to pair with Saliba, if we do it right then that along with our academy starlets, we could be back in business in no time.

Don’t go pleading poor or look to take a back seat early on – We’re a huge club, massive! club! ..and I hope Arsenal remind everyone of that fact.
