Arsene Wenger has no interest in retiring after Arsenal

There has never been more pressure on Arsene Wenger to leave Arsenal as the club is having it’s worst season ever under his control, but now the Boss has revealed that no matter what happens when leaves the club he still wants to manage somewhere else rather than retire.

“Yes, of course [I want to manage after Arsenal], as long as I have the physical strength and the desire to do it,” Wenger said.

“I know that depends on my physical status and how well I am mentally.

“It’s a decision I’ll have to make at some stage.

“At the moment I live in the present and I just want to do as well as I can for my club and I don’t worry too much what happens to me.

“You don’t stay 22 years at a club the stature of Arsenal without a total complete commitment and the sacrifice of your life.

“That will not change today until the end of the season, until the end of my contract, if I can I will do that. After I don’t know what I will do.”

Most Arsenal fans assumed that Wenger would be ‘kicked upstairs’ when he was finished his career as manager of Arsenal, but that now seems unlikely. Maybe the rumours about PSG could be true?

  1. He will never leave Arsenal.
He will be there until he is 90 and dribbling all over the place.
A selfish man who can see Arsenal are failing under him yet stays on for his own needs – the dear of walking away.
He was a legend but now is nothing more than a terminal diagnosis for the club.

    1. Oh come on, he still is a legend. What he did for Arsenal is unbelievable. In retrospect. Would be awesome if he goes to a big club and we beat him in the Champions League.

    1. Tell you what John.Hes now talking as if he KNOWS his time is up.Why else would he be talking about OTHER JOBS.

      1. That’s a good thing Phil, as long as he’s goes at PSGor any other big club he would be fired

  2. Can’t see PSG taking him when there desire is to win the champions League, 20 attempts with Arsenal and apart from going close in 2006 we have been no where near winning it with him at the helm. I’d be happy for him to take any managerial job as long as he is not associated with Arsenal once he is no longer our manager.

    1. His more of a Monoco man, there they don’t expect to win the CL or the league its a selling club young french upcoming players, will suit AW perfectly, and being a gambling man he will do well in Monte Carlo 🙂

  3. I was more than hopeful, convinced even, he would be leaving at the end of this season but from what I’m hearing, he will be here at least another season.

    1. Idiotic comments
We stand behind Arsenal not Wenger
He’s dragged the club into mediocrity with his selfishness so he deserves all the criticism

  4. “Until the end of my contract, then I will know what to do” The WOB should note that carefully

    1. The board have a decision to make.
Do they keep him on and watch attendances and revenue drop like they have.
      Or.
Do they maintain the business model by employing a new manager.
J Kroenke has said the decision would not be based on sentimental reasons so there you go..

  5. Wenger can win the champions league with the kind players at PSG.Needles to say he has been compelled to work with average players at arsenal because of financial restrictions, but he never raised a finger to anyone. He was at mbappe home trying to convince him to join arsenal not to mention all the great players we had during his time joined because of Wenger reputation, he revolutionized the the epl

    1. that’s the problem there he should of been pointing the finger in fact two fingers to who ever is to blame for missing out on signing of great players for so little

  6. Mr wenger, i though your love for arsenal is so crazy, i thought its arsenal or no one else, i thought you are mr arsenal. But now there is a little pressure, and he might be let go, he is talking of joinning another club. Why doesn’t he retire if his bond with arsenal is so special like he hammers us with all the time. Just goes to show he is only looking out for himself. Just get out at the end of the season.

  7. “You don’t stay 22 years at a club the stature of Arsenal without a total complete commitment and the sacrifice of your life…”

    Martyr syndrome.

Most of us have to “Sacrifice our lives” for jobs paying much less that what he gets, and jobs that are not our dream jobs, like what he’s been doing. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate all the good work he did for the club, but he’s not doing that good work any more, and now he makes it sounds like he’s been doing it for charity FFS!

  8. It would be funny if Wenger goes and Arsenal becomes a 10th-15th team . Just imagine the meltdown here.
