Arsene won’t go until Arsenal get a Board that actually cares

Arsenal is a plaything for Wenger, and the board couldn’t care less. by Konstantin Mitov

It’s a sad time to be an Arsenal fan. In fact I’d say it’s the worst time I’ve ever seen and we’ve been through some tough beatings. I am not excited, I don’t care about the results, I don’t watch the games. I mostly watch comments after the games and I generally feel at least the away fans want Wenger gone.

“We want Wenger out!” is a common song amongst supporters after an away game and I couldn’t agree more with them. On the footballing side, Wenger is on relegation form, with a squad that finished second last season! True we didn’t deserve it, but our abysmal defeats come one after the other. Four defeats out of the last 5 league games and performances which “get managers sacked” as Redknapp said speak volumes.

At any other club, Wenger would’ve been sacked, but here he is a god. He is Arsenal, everything about it! Whether or not we get top 4 or not he’s staying. Hopefully that opens some eyes now and finally people understand nobody gives a damn about this football club from the people taking the major decisions. The only reasonable decision is for Wenger to be sacked.

I believe that in order to get rid of him one of two things must happen – either Usmanov or that richest African that wanted to buy the club actually do it and get rid of Gazidis, Keswick, Lord Harris, Wenger and put some ambitious people on the board, or Wenger gets the reception Alan Pardew did at Newcastle, where people were calling for his head every game.

Knowing the Arsenal fans though, both are unlikely to happen. So enjoy our new mid-table role, because we’ll finish 8th the way we are going. It’s astonishing that we’d keep one useless manager, and get rid of half the squad that doesn’t wanna play for him, instead of doing it the other way around that put results on the table for Chelsea, Hull, Swansea, Leicester and countless other clubs!

I’m not watching the games anymore. Forget it. I don’t deserve this. We don’t deserve this. Wenger doesn’t deserve anything but the sack, instead though he’s getting a new contract. Arsenal is an example of exactly how not to do football. Enjoy

  1. If Wenger signs during the international break, he’d have to wait no longer than the City game to be once again proven that he’s not the man for the job. Oh and United and Spurs and City again in the cup will remind him dearly! Fans of other teams sing “Arsene Wenger we want you to stay”, because they know we’re an easy ride while he is here!

  2. If Wenger signs on this club will never be the same again.

Fans will continue been divided with others leaving, player unrest with most of them wanting out, our squad will actually become worse and we might turn into a mid table team. Wenger has had years to fix things, there is nothing to indicate that he can turn things for the better, his time is well and truly up.

  3. It’s funny how we compared him to sir alex. Only wish he was like him. Sir alex was also stubborn but in a good way and he always wanted to be a winner. Truth to be told Wenger has tarnished his legacy and it has become so sad that opposition fans and ex rival players have more respect for Wenger than we do now.

Wenger is not even in the class of jose mouriniho or pep. Both are serial winners. Look at how jose is after winning the europa . Trophies matters, it creates winning mentality . All in all this season has proven to be a disaster . We have become a joke all across the world. Even people who are not adhere football followers are asking about who Wenger the clown is. This has become bad. I live in Canada and whenever I meet any football fan and tell him I support arsenal he laughs. This is travesty.

    Can the season end please.

    1. Jose only wants Europa League trophy in case he doesn’t get top 4, which is a still very likely scenario. So stop talking non-sense, and compare the guy who had to operate on a shoe-string budget vs managers who had/have virtually unlimited funds.

      1. Vlad. Arsenal is an extremely
        wealthy football club
4- 5th richest in the world.
        Two Billionaire owners.
Highest ticket prices in the land.
The manager is being paid 8mill per year.
Over the last ten years the wage bill has topped 2 Billion pound.
2 Billion pound for 2 FA Cups.
Is that really value for money?

  4. Have to say it’s getting boring now. Either he goes or he stays, but all this ‘waiting for the right moment’ is destroying the club.

Everyone needs an answer either way!

  5. Agreed with Redknapp, Jamie. The players are getting no-where near enough criticism. Everything is about Arsene, I didn’t hear anything about Wbrom, it was all about us and Arsene Wenger alone. The players, I don’t even know what to say about them, shocking. Then hearing Redknapp remind us of everything Arsene tried to do for these players, I just wish Arsene had been able to see that they weren’t worth it. We seen then regroup before the Man city game a time back, so we know they can come together and organise, but they’re never bothered it seems. Henry even said it, you can do all the planning in the world, but when they’re out there, they need to handle it. And now it’s all back to Arsene ..while the players??

  6. Wenger is waiting for our form to pick up before announcing an extension. Problem is that our form is not going to pick up and our schedule only gets harder. Top 4 is finished, it’s not even a question. Arsenal are only going downhill from here if Wenger signs on. We won’t get back to top 4 and we won’t get any real talent. Nobody wants to come to Arsenal right now because word is out that Arsene Wenger is a manager who cannot deliver any titles.

  7. We are just in the Dungeon.. As an AKB I gradually became AKN Arsene Knows Nothing.

Imagine If Wenger signs a new contract the yoyo results continue.. His contract ends .. A new manager is appointed and needs Two seasons to blend his squad.. Til 2011 season we will start seeing our Arsenal. I live in Nigeria and am already a laughing bud.
I sincerely sympathised with the traveling Fans..

My Home club in Nigeria is Plateau United and now they top the NPL gate fees are now rising. With poor results fans deserted the Township Stadium in Jos and now the are coming back.. I hope fans in North London see this..

May God. Help Us from this dreaded Outbreak called LeProffAseneW.

  8. Just read that wenger is signing a years extension. That has made up my mind I will not be renewing my membership. I will not be financing a loosing board and management. This is a severe kick in the gut for me and a lot of other dedicated Arsenal supporters. We are poor in all areas on the field, but there doesn’t seem to be any answers. We have a useless manager and pathetic board. Some of the players would not get on championship sides,
I can’t live with this arrogance, embarrassment and humiliation therefore I will not renew my membership. I will not finance failure.

  9. “I don’t care about the results, I don’t watch the games. I mostly watch comments after the games…” – now that just p!sses me off! You have the ballz to come out here, tell us that you don’t even watch the games, not rooting for the boys, and then analyze performances and criticizing manager/players based on the comments you’ve read somewhere? Disgusting… absolutely disgusting. FU, Konstantin, and the rest of the lot like you! Whether I want Wenger out or not is irrelevant. I became a Gooner in late 90’s. Those were the good old days. So am I gonna abandon the team now, when it’s struggling to get a decent result? No way in hell. I haven’t missed a game in about 8 years now, and I’m not about to do it now. Through sickness and in hell shall I remain a loyal fan. Loyalty – something that’s probably not even in your vocabulary, Mitov. SMH…

    1. FU to those of you who thumbed me down. You know that I’m right, you just don’t have the guts to reply and say why you think I’m wrong.

  10. Wow just wow.look what wengers got fans doing to each other.but truth be told what sort of fan doesn’t want to watch games anymore but still has the morals to comment on games, tactics etc.grow a pair guys

  11. Vlad just saw your posts. I have personally supported Arsenal since the early 70s, through mediocre times, bad times, successful times and now depressing, humiliating and embarrassing times. Arsenal as a club has been run into insignificance by the present board and the present manager. Yes wenger did revolutionise the club when he came but he is still playing the same way as he did 19 years and other clubs have progressed where as Arsenal have remained static. He never replaced the very talented players we once had , he seems to be spending less money on average players hoping they will become superstars with the exception of Ozil and Sanchez. So don’t think you are the only supporter out there. I and a lot of others out there spend our hard earned money in support of this club and we deserve a hell of a lot more respect than what we are getting at this time, what other club would tolerate this managers performances? What other board would tolerate this arrogance? None! So Vlad there is a lot of keen supporters out there who are very, very concerned about the state of the club and they don’t need to be insulted by you or the likes of you.

    1. What exactly did my post have to do with Wenger? It’s about Konstantin, and his ridiculous posts. The guy himself admitted that he doesn’t even watch games anymore, and just reads comments online afterwards. Yet he comes here almost every other day and spits out the same garbage about Wenger, players, and the club. You call that a true supporter? I call that a troll.

  12. When Arsene the talented manager took over as manager Arsenal FC was the top club in London, when Arsene the dope leaves we will be (and currently are) third behind Chelsea and Spurs.

    Pathetic management and pathetic board.
