Arteta convinces Spaniard to choose Arsenal, he could fly to London soon

After waiting a few weeks into the transfer window, Arsenal could add at least three players to their squad this month.

The Gunners had been focused on getting a deal for Mykhailo Mudryk sorted at the start of January and it seemed Mikel Arteta’s men would not buy another player after Chelsea won the race for the Ukrainian.

However, reports claim they are closing in on some new signings, one of which is Ivan Fresneda of Real Valladolid.

The Spaniard is just 18, but he has been in terrific form and has caught the attention of several big European sides this term.

Real Madrid seemed to be leading the race for his signature, but a report on El Desmarque has just revealed Mikel Arteta has called him to convince the teenager about moving to London.

It reveals Fresneda could now fly to Arsenal in a matter of days to complete the transfer.

Just Arsenal Opinion

After losing Mudryk to Chelsea, we must learn that acting fast is the key to landing important players on the transfer market.

It is exciting that we could beat Real Madrid to a player and it shows the considerable influence Arteta now has in the world of football.

  1. Good kid with a high ceiling, we should allow Soares go to Fulham in search of playing time, wanna wish him well when the deal concluded.

  2. The emphasis on youth is good. However it needs a mix of experience and youth.
Expect MU to park the bus and hit on the break last time they met. Arteta is more pragmatic then Wenger . He wont go berserk on the attack like the fm who always seems to lose against the top teams who seemed to have his no.
Kane and Son were nullified. Expect Rashford to be isolated. An x will suffice

  3. I expect the kid to develop well under MA plus learning from Tommy and Ben. Youth and Experience that would be some depth right there. Hope it happens.

    1. Around the same age as BNC I think. Seems an strange one unless we aren’t as high on BNC as I thought we were.

I’m a bit biased though as my default will always be to see our academy players given a crack before bringing someone in who looks their equal.

  4. He surely must be a good player if Madrid is after him. That said, I think the more important and urgent need is for a dM to rotate with Partey, unless Arteta plans to use Kiwior as a DM and also we have Elneny incase Partey needs rest and rotation.
