Atletico Madrid are the latest club to show interest in Gabriel Martinelli as Arsenal look to ensure they can offload the Brazilian attacker during this transfer window.

Martinelli has produced several impressive performances for Arsenal and played a role in their success last season. However, the winger has not consistently reached the highest levels expected of him since joining the club.

The Gunners believe a player such as Bradley Barcola could provide more in that position and are interested in signing the Frenchman during this transfer window. Arsenal continue to monitor Barcola and may need to sell Martinelli before making their move.

Atletico Madrid Consider Martinelli Move

Arsenal would welcome interest from potential suitors, and the latest reports from Spain could provide a boost as they look to complete their plans for the squad.

According to Fichajes, Atletico Madrid are the latest club showing interest in signing Martinelli and want to add the Brazilian winger to their squad in the next transfer window.

The report states that Atletico have a list of players they would like to bring into the team, with Martinelli included among their targets. The Spanish club are therefore expected to consider making an approach to Arsenal for his signature in the coming days.

Martinelli Faces Uncertain Arsenal Future

A move away from Arsenal could become an option for Martinelli if the club decide to complete their pursuit of Barcola. The Brazilian may face increased competition for regular playing time if another attacking option arrives at the Emirates Stadium.

The attacker is expected to consider his future carefully, but a transfer to Atletico Madrid could provide him with the opportunity to continue playing at a high level.

Martinelli has shown his quality during his time at Arsenal, but the club’s plans for the future could lead to changes in their attacking options. If Atletico make a serious offer, the winger could be open to considering a new challenge.

  1. Martinelli loves the club, he is erratic but has produced some wonderful moments for us. Also
he is a hard worker and doesnt mind defending it
will be hard to replace him. I would wait one year
before selling him. See how the season pans out..

    1. Then his value will drop more. The question should be, why are teams not queuing up to sign him? 50 mil seems very reasonable in the current market. Why for instance is Villa chasing Garnacho and not Martinelli?

  2. I’m a little bit concerned that no club is desperately struggling to sign him as much as they are Summerville. It says a lot about what the scouts and coaches of top teams are seeing about him. He’s fast and hardworking, however, he’s too predictable and defenders have found him out already

    1. don’t know mate
I heard they have had a 68 million offer accepted
that would be approx over 150 million for West Ham for two players who got relegated
      that’s insane

  3. I’m not sure if I want Martinelli gone in this window.
Two neophyte left wingers; is that ideal?
Don’t think so given the well documented adaptation challenges associated with new players brought into the PL

  4. I’m a bit torn here.

CM I agree with not having to blood in two new wingers at the same time.

However I am also aware that we can improve in that area. In that case if we do make any alteration there, at the very least it would need to happen before pre-season.
