Bacary Sagna suggests three new signings for Arsenal this season

Former Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has provided recommendations for three signings that the Gunners should make during the upcoming summer transfer window.

After Arsenal’s strong performance last season, where they came close to winning the Premier League title, it is crucial for them to strengthen their squad in order to maintain their competitiveness.

Sagna believes that Arsenal should focus on reinforcing their midfield options and has suggested three names that could fit the bill. One of the players on his list is already a target for the club, indicating that Arsenal is actively pursuing their desired signings.

The ex-defender says via The Sun:

“James Maddison from Leicester. I also really like Ward-Prowse. He is a player that can change a game on his own.

“Every team needs a player that can change a game in a heartbeat. You know when Arsenal used to play Stoke, Rory Delap was a player that could change a game on his own because of his long throws.

“Ward-Prowse is a master at set pieces. When a game is locked and you have a player with his ability, that is so dangerous.”

Adding: “I think that the only way for Arsenal to allow Xhaka to leave is by signing Declan Rice. If Xhaka leaves, then I would hope Arsenal may very well have something lined up with Rice.”

Just Arsenal Opinion

Our board already has a list of targets, and we believe these players can deliver when they join the club.

We expect them to be in fine form in the summer while strengthening the group and it would be interesting to see if any of the players Sagna has recommended joins us.

  1. It is reported Edu and the gaffer will be arm to the tune of a war chest £200 mil.

Now my first three incomings are

    Caicedo
    Vlohovic
    Tapsoba

Others could help to come in by outgoings sale

  2. To me Declan Rice, Madison and Mitoma is another must signing at any cost Arsenal should consider.
It is Mitoma who terorises all their opponents, regardless of their size.
He is a threat to any team he faces.
He ignites the rhythm and the rest follow. Arsenal coming out of the market without Mitoma, will be another big mistake. Let’s use all possible and make it happen.
I fear Mitoma, I need Mitoma. He is a sure deal. We need such strikers who can terorises all teams at any given day.

  3. For me it is a different set.
We need a left back (as KT is most likely leaving).
We need a Centre midfielder (as most likely Xhaka is leaving).
Then if there is enough money bring in a striker (otherwise bring Balogan back from loan).

LB: Alphonso Davies @ BM or Mitchell @ CP or Digne @ Everton.
    CDM: Caiceido, Onana or Rice.
CF: Victor Gyokeres @ Coventry, Mitrovic or Alves Morais @ Fulham.

  4. SAGNA LEFT ARSENAL MANY YEARS AGO.

I WONDER HOW OFTEN, IF AT ALL, HE HAS WATCHED OUR TEAM THIS SEAON.

NOT MUCH OR EVEN NOT AT ALL, IS MY OPINION.

  5. Sagna left Arsenal years ago ,but him being a professional footballer holds so much weight over arm chair fans ☝️great shout on both jWP and Maddison .
Would take Maddison all day long ,great player

  6. I would go with
Ward Prowse, for his abilities from set pieces
Mitoma- He offers an alternative to Martinelli and Saka
    Rice/Caceido
Cancelo, White should partner with Saliba in CB
Most importantly a taller striker, at this point I don’t even mind Danny Welbeck. A tall striker gives arsenal options in sticky situations. We need a tall striker, even if we can’t get a starter, we need a squad player. All our strikers are too short, they are really false-nine or should I say eight.
