Havertz mark 2. No improvement for a lot of cash.
Probably true. He’s a top shelf, big game player, who can play LW or center forward, so he would not be a bad purchase at all. Though I’m keener that we see a player that makes our left side even more dynamic and unpredictable. Barcola, Vini Jr, Yildiz, etc. Any of those three (and probably a few others) would be welcome.
Is Alverez left wing and centre forward, dynamic in both positions? He’s not a 9, more of a 10. He’s not fast. Potters right, if we have Kai on the books, don’t need Alvarez.
In the semi final and final of World Cup he was anonymous, did nothing to influence the games.

I didn’t really disagree with Potter.
His pace is actually very similar to Kai’s. His role as a center forward is not really to advance play up the field obviously, so his speed over distance is less critical than his ability in front of goal, and his record clearly shows he’s better than Kai there. There is no real debate that he is a top class player regardless of a few unproductive games in the World Cup.
I’m less convinced about him for the left wing, as I said.
