Can Arsenal follow Stunning September with an Awesome October? Yes!

Since the last international break in early September Arsenal have gone seven games unbeaten, with our September record reading 5 wins and 1 draw and ZERO defeats. We may have struggled in our first game in October but still got the three points in a last minute victory at Burnley.

With no injuries to report from the first round of internationals, there is little reason to think that October could also be an excellent month for the Gunners especially when you see that our next four gamesare all at the Emirates!

We start off with a home game against Swansea, which we may have to get through without our new striker Alexis Sanchez, althout Lucas Perez should be available to replace him in the starting line-up. Swansea have had a terrible start to the season, but their new manager Bob Bradley may give them a new burst of energy, but I doubt it!

Next up is the Bulgarian Champions Ludgorets who are a bit of an unknown quantity. They played well to draw away at Basel in their opening UCL game, and they gave PSG a fright at home before succumbing 3-1. It is a scary thought that they have lost only one game at home in the League since 2013, and that was on the last day of last season when they had already been crowned as the runaway Champions! But as this game is at the Emirates we should have little trouble getting the three points…

Our next match is at home to Middlesbrough, who should be more cannon fodder as they are winless in their last 5 League games, and swiftly followed by our League Cup game at home to Reading. They are mid-table in the Championship and our reservesshould dispose of them as easily as we did against Nottm Forest in the last round.

All these are definitely winnable, and when we go to Sunderland for our last game in October we could be looking to win our TENTH game in a row. That would certainly be something to cheer about!

  1. We play 4 home matches in a row then just 1 away match in October. We have no guarantee of winning these matches (no match is easy and all matches are loseable) but things are looking on our side at the moment. hopefully we can win all 5.

  2. I highly doubt that Alexis will be given rest against their next opponents. They lost their match against Ecuador 3-0. Chile are in 7th place will want to make use of every energy of Alexis. Lucas Perez time has come to start matches. Even Giroud will want to start that match. The chelsea match was the test and the Burnley was patience.
