Can Koscielny stop Ronaldo and Arsenal striker fire France to Euro 2016 glory?

It will be a very happy night for two Arsenal players tonight, and probably a much extended Parisian party, if France can beat Portugal to win Euro 2016 at the Stade De France. And if Les Bleus are to give the home fans the end to the tournament that they crave then I would expect our two Gunners to play a big part.

The clear and obvious danger man from their opponents Portugal is the Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who may not have had the same sort of impact that we have seen from him in recent years but has still shown some real class such as the brilliant towering header that set them on the path to beating Wales in the semi-final.

France backed by the crowd will surely have a go at Portugal and so Koscielny and his defensive team mates will have to be alert and ready to cope with the counter attacking threat as well as set pieces and in what is expected to be a tight game the Arsenal defender needs to be on top of his game and to make no mistakes.

At the other end Giroud will have the tough task of taking on Ronaldo’s Madrid colleague Pepe and the Southampton centre back Jose Fonte and how well the Arsenal forward does this could make all the difference. Even if he does not score himself Giroud can play a massive part in France’s attacking system and make space for the likes of Griezmann and Payet to do their thing.

Will we have two very happy Gunners in Paris tonight?

sorry but adilem the octopus is facing charges for not keeping his tentacles to himself , i will not condone such behaviour.

bergkamp the badger has just indicated a 2-1 win in frances favour.

      gotta be sensible here guys

  2. Arsenal_Girl says:

I remember once Arsenal played Barcelona and Koscielny owned Messi
So its not impossible for Koscielny to keep Ronaldo quiet
    Koscielny is WC after all

    1. Arsenal_Girl says:

Well not now that Ronaldo is off injured

    2. No doubt giroud would’ve atleast brought a save out of the keeper from that header greizman missed.

      1. Congrats to Portugal.. am so glad that giroud wasnt the one who missed that header which would’ve won it for france.

So it’s 2 games O-G has not hit the net lol why can’t AW see he just don’t cut it. TBH last 2 games he looked just liked he did last season when he went what 4 months without hitting the net. For the love of god do you think kloop or pep or that thing at Man U would have him

    1. kev says:

I get what you are saying. If you watch him on televison he does not look like backup quality for arsenal but hey as people here like it if you use his statistics he looks more than capable as a backup. This should tell you that statistics and reality can be different. He looks terrible on television to be honest.

  8. luvdaguns says:

another big match where giroud dominates, lol

    1. kev says:

The guy is so average I don’t get how he even makes it to France’s bench and Arsenal’s starting eleven.I will be so glad the day he leaves because that day Arsenal will be relieved from this shame.

  9. rkw says:

Giroud is just an average footballer and with Walcott or welbeck or Campbell as strike partners even with Sanchez in mix there is simply no way we can win anything with current attacking options … The fact that wenger has refused to acknowledge this over last 4 years is astounding even for the 8m a year man … And we thought Phillip green was overpaid … Shameful stuff which can only be justified if he brings in two quality strikers … I reserve judgement til September but not optimistic

  10. luvdaguns says:

with the look of experience, giroud lifts the second place trophy, lol
