Can we now please give up on the Dembele rumours?

Of all the hundreds of Arsenal transfer rumours going around, the most ridiculous one I have heard so far is that we are trying to get Ousmane Dembele to join us from Barcelona. Just the fact that Barca paid over 100 million for the young Frenchman is a very clear indication that he is well out of our League.

And as for a possible loan move, can you believe that Arsenal would even pay his loan fee? That would probably be enough to buy another player. But aside from all that, the Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has told reporters: “Dembele will go nowhere. He and [Philippe] Coutinho are a big investment for us.

“They are very important to our project and we expect a lot from them.

“Coutinho in the last four months has been very active in the team but Dembele is a very young player and talented and we expect great things. Next seasons will be different. It’s not easy to play at Barca in your first year because the style of football is quite different from at other teams.”

“Some players will come, others will go, that’s normal.

“But there’s no doubt that, without naming names because a lot of them are negotiating now with the club, new players will arrive.”

So it is very obvious that Dembele is not going anywhere after such a massive investment on bringing him in. And as to why the media are getting away with even pretending that Arsenal are trying to bring him in, that is just taking the mickey out of us.

Wake up Gooners we are being taken for mugs!

I read this like 3 weeks ago please… Next article please.. Now I can’t wait to see Brazil Belgium’s match tonight… So hard for me to pick a team, Lot’s of players in the Belgium team are always against us and play against us in the league so I don’t care bout em, but at same time I want Brazil to get knocked out.. I guess I can’t eat my cake and have it.. I’ll stay neutral

Elsewhere Torreira’s dad has confirmed it
“It is as good as a fact that Lucas will join Arsenal.
“There are many clubs who contacted us but we have given our word to Arsenal and are very satisfied with what they offered.
“The deal is virtually done and only the arrival of Lucas is remaining.
“Arsenal offered to do the medical examinations in Russia but we decided against it because we felt it’s inconvenient, it is not the right time.”

    Good news..

I never for once believed we are in for Dembele, so am not even disappointed a bit.

Skysports are reporting we are in for Nzonzi, if true, there will be outgoings in our mkdfield. Am thinking Mo Elneny is done!

And Ornstein says we’re done with 1st team signings after Torreira. Sky Sports vs. David Ornstein. What’s Batman v. Superman again? 😀

What’s even better is all those city, spud and chelsky players giving more and more to the cause.
They’ll be knackered for the start of the season!!!
