Can we PLEASE stop talking about a new Arsenal contract for Ozil?

The contract sagas of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil have been going on for over a year now, but for some reason there are still Arsenal rumours that our German midfielder could still change his mind and sign a new contract. THIS IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

The latest “news” is that Arsenal have now made a take-it-or-leave-it offer of 275,000 GBP a WEEK to sign on the dotted line. Do they even know that they are talking about Arsenal? THIS IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

Wenger has issued his weekly denial of the made-up rumours today, and he must be getting a little bored with the endless repetition. He was asked again in his press conference if there was any truth in these lies, and of course he replied:  “No. Negotiations are always going on with everybody.

“I said that many times [that I want Sanchez and Ozil to stay] and that’s all we can say.

“Is it two years to go? One year to go? Three months to go? The door is always open and for the rest I cannot tell you much more.”

There is nothing to see here I assure you. Nothing has changed. Ozil will not be signing a new contract. Arsenal will NOT be offering ridiculous wages to either Sanchez or Ozil, and they will both be looking for massive signing on fees at their new clubs next season. This is the new way of the world, and Arsenal will continue to survive and fight to stay in the top echolons of the Premier League, and Wenger will still be the manager.

Can we PLEASE stop talking about it now?

  1. We are still talking because Ozil is one of the two players at the club. Meanwhile, Wenger keeps not giving indications, Bould is still chewing gum and Xhaka is still playing.

    1. Poking his nose in other people business!!!. What would you having say. He was asked a question which he needs to answer and he answered correctly in my own opinion. The media should explained their surprises when they got what they asked for before every derby and every big matches. I know majority of us don’t like the man but we cant question his respect and love for the game and everyone involved. Imagine he had fcuked off the guy for asking him that irrelevant question, we would all be reading about how he is too arrogant blah blah…

        1. I know he had done it before but how did that help him and arsenal. The press should stop asking irrelevant questions. There are whole lot of questions to ask about our last performance and the hammers beating Chelsea but they choose to ask about Manchester derby. They are bunch of p- caps

  2. The signing on fee is a good point. That’s one heck of a lump sum for any player to forgo. We can offer one but not if other parties just wanna cut us out altogether.
Alexis will get a huge signing on fee, some of it might be hidden with the way these tax dodgers work, the money men.

Looking at Ozil lately, and even before he began adding some grit to his game he was the most creative import league-wise within his short time, no1. I say short, five seasons is not short. He looks to me that Barcelona could use him right now, and because Alexis is being mooted to La Royal Madrid, it seems to hold water. But of course this could still just be one of those inventions that the Journos seen coming a mile away.

  3. I doubt Ozil is after a huge wage, this is the guy that donates his WC winnings to charity.

I think he wants to see us challenge for trophies and that’s it.

    1. there is no comfort at arsenal and under Wenger, even with the money, when matter goes wrong, it is going to be the likes of him who will take the blame always

  4. Arsenal has nothing other teams do not have, if you cant provide players with the luxury of being a serious club who competes for trophys than you need persue them to stay bec of the money, and Wenger again is doing his poker games

Big Arsenal fan and going to die like one, but in case i would have the choice to choose, i would avoid Arsenal at any cost

  5. Why ever would Arsenal even want to offer an obscene weekly wage to keep a player who plays about one in four proper perfs across his Arsenal career? Ridiculous, as lazy bone idle players are poison. Don’t you agree, Walcott!
