Confirmed – Mkhitaryan holds all the cards over Alexis move to Man United

Well at least it is all out in the open now. Arsenal and Alexis Sanchez are being held to ransom by Henrik Mkhitaryan who is the lynchpin in massive transfer of Alexis to Manchester United. The Gunners are refusing to allow Alexis to move to Old Trafford unless Mkhitaryan is included as part of the deal, and the Armenian midfielder seems to be making increasingly proposterous demands before he signs on the dotted line.

His agent Mino Raiola told The Times yesterday: “Manchester United is not going to sign Sánchez unless Mkhi agrees to join Arsenal,”

“Mkhi has not decided yet. Mkhi is going to do what is best for him. He has two-and-a-half years left on his contract, so it’s his decision.”

“Sánchez is part of the Mkhi deal, not the other way around.”

That sounds like an overly egotistic thing to say, seeing as Mkhi hardly ever played for United anyway, but the fact is that he can use it to his advantage and Raiola will be sure to demand a substantial signing on fee for his client (and of course for himself as well!)

I wonder if they go over the top will Arsenal just tell them where to stick it?

  1. It’s the agent talking so I don’t believe it.
We all have to make a living but they are just money grabbing leeches trying to make as much money by doing eff all.

  2. “Houston we have a problem ”
Arsene has previously avoided dealing with Mino Riola, the super agent due to his excessive demands.
Now this is a test of whether Wenger still calls the shots on transfers or not.
If the deal goes through, then Wenger has been put in his place by the new transfer team. If the deal breaks down, then same old same old.

    1. So damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t then? You have to go with what make economical sense then don’t You?!

  3. Wenger , it ‘s your bloody job to look for a better replacement ! Not waiting for a MU deadwood hesitating on coming to Arsenal as if we are at his mercy ! He is a like for like for Walcott , not Sanchez ! Wake up for once Wenger !

  4. i don’t believe we would make such fuss about Mkhitaryan when the player that should be in a swap deal is martial. If we get martial we’d not be in a weak position, we’d be in a strong position – so fingers crossed. imo

      1. Agree as well.

We can get Auba + Malcom or Pavon, and if Ozil goes, we’ll get someone else who will be happy to play for Arsenal, maybe Lucas Vazques…

There are still top players who will want to play for the Arsenal. Not many, but they do exist.

  5. Weegor will mess this up too. For months he was saying Sanchez wasn’t going anywhere. He must have been the only one in the country. World even. He is just a pleb.

  6. Sanchez and Mkhitaryan two aging
    has been’s swapping clubs for
the same reason i.e. to get a
    huge retirement package.
Walcott 20m joining old man Rooney at the Everton retirement home.
Ox 40m now 20m for Walcott = 60 mill plus salaries saved
for two over the hill has been’s is fairly decent trading.
Even better when one considers Ox has been replaced by Nelson (Free)
and Walcott to be replaced by Iwobi (Free).
Some one is due a big bonus. I wonder who?
For years the club built a massive stack of deadwood
and now the damn has finally burst and they are just pouring out.
    Chamberlain Gabriel Gibbs Sanogo Coquelin
Walcott +Sanchez to be followed by Debuchy Giroud Perez + hopefully Wellbeck.
Ozil will need to sign an extension immediately or be sold
other wise we lose him for free in June.
Clear them out and we have a good 120 mill to add 2-3 quality players.
Come on transfer team, hop to it 🙂

    1. What’s the point? They will become another deadwoods in few years under Wenger’s management.

Either they become deadwood or leave for free.

  7. To be honest here elexis is wreaking my head as he is getting far to big for his own size he is good but not prolific get rid of him in china and cash on him big. To have Manchester united controlling our business is mad, pay up 35 million or take the high road. He is becoming toxic and with Mr Wnger dithering around its becoming a laughing matter “get the player we need and move on ” “we got serious problems to address here that needs sorted immediately”

  8. Cech
    mustafi,—- koscielny, —–Monreal, —-Kola
    ——–Nzonzi——–
    —-Ramsey,—– Wilshere——-
    Ozil–Laca—Aubameyang

  9. I really don’t see, why you pick on Mkhitariyan in this situation. He has involuntarily been dragged into leaving Man U, which he has joined not so long ago.
Why should he “help” us/Sanchez by agreeing to switch without getting something out of it?
He may still have the ambitions and confidence, that he can make it at Man U and play Champions League etc. Should he just switch to a sinking ship??
    Would you?

  10. Certainly we aren’t in for Malcom that’s fkr sure – his club have been saying there has been no contact and even i there was arsenal would have a hard job getting him.

So more BS and hot air from the Arsenal propaganda team then! Same old same old.

I doubt the Aub rumours are true either.

There is something going on with our club, I don’t think all is as rosy as they make out.

  11. He’s going to go there, so hurry up because it’s driving me mad!! He’ll be show boating at old trafford before we know it

  12. If this is only way to bring someone new to the club then lets do it.
Mkhi will adopt better at Arsenal then he did ManUtd.

    1. My comment-rater Plug-in got corrupted and went wonky late last night…
I’ll look for another one when i get time Sue…..

  13. Hlo as me JOSH all those transfers being made are all for nothing because Wenger can not mange to close the right player to play a certain team just see from the FA Cup which is the only league he can mange and placed the players he want the only thing is to sack him out then the club will start doing well that is my thought as a young Arsenal fan forever thanks am from Uganda

  14. Getting Mick- for a player about to leave for free. Sounds good to me.

No players success is guaranteed, but he’s got skills, got pace, works hard, and a team player

    Could be a good fit

  15. Sanchez can sign a pre-contract this month and walk for free in Summer. If we can get rid now for something, whether it be player or cash, what’s the problem? Anything is better than nothing. As for the other stories – we all know that Wenger & Co have been distorting the truth/telling half-truths/telling outright lies for years, so we will just have to wait and see whether anyone comes in before end of the month and if so what calibre they are. No point getting overexcited.
