Jakub Kiwior appears to be on the brink of a transfer to FC Porto after Arsenal accepted a package reported to be worth around €25 million, structured as an initial loan followed by an obligation to buy. While the deal is not yet sealed, reports suggest Kiwior has agreed personal terms and is ready to move for more consistent playing opportunities. Porto even arranged a private jet to bring him to Lisbon, which stood idle for two days – a sign both clubs expect the move to be completed imminently.
Arsenal reshuffle continues with Kiwior exit
Porto’s urgency reflects how highly they value Kiwior, while Arsenal, having already invested heavily in summer reinforcements, are evidently ready to offload players on the periphery of Mikel Arteta’s plans. Kiwior’s exit is expected to coincide with Arsenal target Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapié signing before the transfer deadline, underlining the defensive reshuffle already in motion.

A busy deadline day for the Gunners
Ben Jacobs has confirmed that Kiwior is already in Porto to finalise his move. Kiwior is not the only player heading for the exit. Albert Sambi Lokonga is close to a permanent transfer to Hamburg, Fabio Vieira is set to join Hamburg too on a season-long loan, and Reiss Nelson has already finalised his loan switch to Brentford. Meanwhile, Oleksandr Zinchenko’s possible move to Marseille remains one to watch.
The scale of outgoings reflects Arsenal’s clear intent to streamline the squad as the window closes. Kiwior has been a steady performer, but with competition mounting and Arteta needing flexibility elsewhere, this looks like the right moment for both club and player to move on.
Enjoying Transfer Deadline Day Gooners?

The only disappointment if everything happens as the article predicts, is the loss of Kiwior.
It will be interesting to work out how much profit or loss we will make from these Arteta / Edu signings.
It seems like we are begging teams to take our players off our hands. Nobody seems in a rush to get them.
It seems Forest want Zincheko, while Porto want Kiwior.
Lokonga gone as well.
On loan for Zinchenko. Lakonga we have made a massive loss and Kiwior is the only decent deal we have done. Are we paying any of Zinchenkos wages?
Reggie,
Arsenal have faced this same problem for several seasons now. Other clubs know we want them off the books, but a lot of the time it suits said team to just take them on loan. So in affect they’ve got Arsenal by the short and curly’s as the saying goes.
Yeah I called it mate
Great news, the last piece of the Arsenal summer tranfer jigsaw, has now been put in place ANOTHER LEFT FOOTED🤦DEFENDER😭
Reggie,
Just how big is this flipping jigsaw puzzle. 😂👍
Derek,
The problem is why the Arteta acquired those players if he knows he isn’t going to use them. It is like these players are gotten free.
If Arsenal want to buy players of Kiwior qualities, in today market, we will nothing less than 40m for him.
OT – Guehi deal to LP did NOT go through.
Zinchenko to Forest?
The loan deal went through. Don’t know the details yet, sorry.
That’s ok, BB. A good deal for both parties 👍
Nelson, Vierra, Zinchenko, Hein all loans with no obligation to buy. Tavares, Lakonga Marqinos, low sales. Kiwior, about broke even, maybe a slight profit. Another expensive window.
As I said in an earlier post regards loans. Four of the five that went out today were loans. As I said clubs have our club by the short and curly’s. 🤦♂️
