Arsenal are prepared to consider offers for left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko before the close of the summer transfer window, with Porto, Fenerbahce and Real Betis all showing interest in the Ukrainian international.

Zinchenko has previously been linked with Porto, and as per CaughtOffside Porto are among his main suitors. Multiple sources have also named Betis and Fenerbahce as major players to watch in the coming weeks, though no final decision has been made.

The 28-year-old remains highly regarded across Europe, but Arsenal have so far struggled to attract concrete offers, with the player now entering the final year of his contract. Clubs are often reluctant to pay significant fees for players in this position, especially with the prospect of signing them on a free transfer next summer.

Will Zinchenko Wait It Out?

Zinchenko is not in a rush to leave and could be open to seeing out his deal at the Emirates before moving on for free next year. Even so, it cannot be ruled out that Porto, Betis or Fenerbahce could table offers in the final weeks of the window.

For a deal to happen, Arsenal would need to receive a satisfactory bid, while Zinchenko himself would also need to be convinced by the sporting project on offer before agreeing to depart.

A Difficult Season

Zinchenko has spoken openly about the challenges he faced last season, when he lost his place as a trusted figure under Mikel Arteta. In his upcoming autobiography, as perThe Athletic,   Zinchenko admits:

“Going from one of the established players of the side to unused sub is much harder to deal with. The sense of rejection you feel if your manager no longer believes in you can take the stuffing out of you, even if you’re the most resilient guy on the planet.

Sitting on the bench in the Premier League for a very generous wage packet is obviously still a privilege, the kind of problem that billions of people on this planet would swap their much tougher lives for in a heartbeat. Trust me, as a Ukrainian, I’m aware of that. Every single minute.

But every footballer started playing because they love to play the game. A big part of your life is missing without it.”

With three clubs circling and the clock ticking, the coming weeks will determine whether Zinchenko stays to fight for his place or moves on to a fresh challenge.

Thoughts on Zinchenko Gooners?

  1. If he feels that way about playing, then he should move on for his peace of mind.

Sorry but no way do I trust him over MLS or Calafiori. Zinchenko is by far the weakest in defense and physicality, and not a level above either in terms of offensive contributions.

No matter how you square it, we will be a weaker team with him at fullback. Calafiori, MLS ahead of him, heck even Timber at LB and White at RB is better than playing Zinchenko.

Appreciate his efforts and professionalism, but face facts it’s time to move on.

Furthermore, Jesus should be right behind, followed by Vieira, Nelson, and Lokogna.

    1. Durand,

With your list of players that you say should be let go, the players being. Zinchenko, Jesus, Viera, Nelson and Lakonga.

They could literally do the Conga out the door.😂🤣👍

        1. SueP,

I phoned Skeggy Butlins, and told them about your suggestion, and they were very rude. They said that there’s not much call for clowns around there. So that sideline is a nonstarter I’m afraid.😂🤣👍
