Everton want to sign Ethan Nwaneri from Arsenal this summer following his loan spell at Olympique Marseille during the second half of last season.
Nwaneri has been one of the best players promoted from the Arsenal academy in recent years, and his time in France provided him with valuable first-team experience. The attacker is regarded as a talented player who could make the Gunners an even stronger side if he reaches his full potential.
Everton join race for Nwaneri
Despite his potential, Nwaneri could struggle for regular game time at Arsenal again this season because of the competition for places. The Gunners are aware of the situation and have been linked with allowing him to leave on loan once more so that he can continue his development.
According to Football Insider, Everton are now considering a move to make the youngster part of their squad this summer. The Merseyside club believe he could strengthen their attacking options and provide quality for the future.
Everton are not the only club monitoring the Arsenal youngster. Fulham, RB Leipzig and AC Milan are also reported to be interested in signing him on a permanent transfer during this transfer window, increasing the competition for his signature.
Arsenal weigh up Nwaneri’s future
Nwaneri remains one of the key teenagers in the Arsenal squad, but the club could be open to allowing him to leave if they receive an offer that meets their valuation. His future is expected to be decided before the transfer window closes.
Any fee received from his departure would be viewed as pure profit because the player was developed through Arsenal’s academy system. Such a sale would also help the club balance their accounts while creating additional financial flexibility.
Arsenal must now decide whether Nwaneri should continue his development away from the Emirates or remain with the first team. With several clubs interested in securing his services, the youngster is likely to have several options if the Gunners decide to sanction his departure.

Would be an exceptional poor move from Arsenal to sell nwaneri.
The loan was poorly constructed by those involved prior to that nwaneri wasnt getting the game time due to the signings of nwaneri and madueke putting him lower in the selection order on the right or centrally.
Neither eze and madueke have been a resounding success at the club and for the club having to further give them opportunities comes at the cost of a young top talent
Berta has been praised by many but the handling of nwaneri has been terrible.
Berta needs to get rid of madueke , that clueless oaf gyokeres, norgard – yet he is so poor at selling- we are now resorting to sell our top young talent, what impression does it give to youngsters in the academy? Why will they sign a professional contract – so that they can be sold for pure profit? They can just decline an offer from arsenal and sign for a club who will give them opportunities

You might also want to read through your comments before hitting ‘post’ in future as in the first paragraph you say that Nwaneri wasn’t getting game time due to the signings of Nwaneri and Madueke 😂.
I hope this rumour is untrue.
I think Nwaneri can replace Odegaard in 2 year’s time and be a quality backup to Saka and also play on the left side of attacking midfield.
AFC need to send him out on loan and ensure game time for such a brilliant talent.
For me Arteta has done this twice now. He’ seems to have a short memory.
Firstly it did with Smith Row, before his injury he had something like 10 goals and 5 assists one season. And when he finally regained his fitness, Arteta bombed him out to Fulham.
The season Arsenal beat City 5-1 with Nwaneri scoring a belter for the fifth goal. He was getting regular minutes and was gaining in confidence. Then Arteta starts to leave him out, and he’s constantly benched. Then he to is bombed out on loan, and all this remember when Odegaard was struggling with injury.
And all this after Nwaneri had been lauded as the next superstar. I only hope that Dowman doesn’t suffer the same feat as these two did.
ESR has turned out to be a good premier league player. But are you suggesting it’s Arsenal’s/Arteta’s fault that he’s not at a better club than Fulham?
No I’m not saying that at all SueP. I’m just saying that Arteta discarded Smith Row to early in my opinion.
He came through at about the same time as Saka, and they both showed good promise. Sadly Arteta, chose one and ignored the other.
But I don’t think that ESR is as good otherwise he’d be playing for England by now

Look how Skelley came up and showed his worth when played. Trust the youth with stunting their growth
Many players struggle with consistency, especially younger ones.
This was problem that showed up over time with Ethan in the 24/25 season. No-one doubts his raw talent (or ability to slam home the occasional clutch goal!). But physical stamina was quite visibly an issue. It might just be as simple as the club feeling he’s not at the point in his development where they can give him the game time he needs, and it’s better for him to develop his career elsewhere. That said, we haven’t accepted any offers for him yet.

They maybe rubbish or average in you’re eyes, but not everyone thinks that way.
A loan with mandatory playing time and positions is the best option. In two seasons, he would bench most of the present midfielder. Selling him would be a foolish piece of businesses.
