FOUR changes Arsenal desperately need after Munich disaster….

Matters arising….Bayern Munich 5 vs Arsenal 1 by SK

No fan of football will claim to be surprised by the scandalous score line of the football match between Bayern Munich and Arsenal, in fact, not a few would have been very suprised if Arsenal had won. However, this piece is
not out to ridicule Arsenal but to empathise with them. Unless a miracle (like Bayern munich players getting poisoned on the morning of the return match) happens, Arsenal is out of the champions league round of 16, for the 7th year running! For there not to be a reoccurence next season, somethings need to change. These are:

1: Arsene Wenger must resign: it is obvious Wenger has nothing new to teach to the players any longer! Whenever Arsenal meets a big team in any football competition, they tend to lose the match, even before the game starts! No motivation, no self belief, no fighting spirit. This has been happening for a long time now and it is obvious Wenger
has no solution to this impasse. He has to leave this season and allow a younger, success driven coach to take over the reins.

2: Many players need to either sit up or ship out: Ozil, Ramsey, Gabriel, Cech, Ospina, Giroud and several other players need to realize that playing for a big club like Arsenal, is an opportunity to improve themselves both football- and value-wise. Playing as if they have nothing to play for, is not what playing for a big club means.
Whoever coaches Arsenal next season, needs to sit down with these players and have a heart to heart talk with them.

3: The Arsenal board needs to realize that football has become commercial and must spend: the era of paying peanuts to footballers is gone! They need to pay high wages to these footballers or stand the risk of losing their total loyalty.

4: The fans must have a say in matters concerning the club: The club must carry the fans along in running the club, their voice must be heard and considered!

Up Gooners!!

  1. Still in FA cup and still all the negatively on this site.
Draw just made and all you lot still moaning.
Lincoln at home IF we beat Sutton.
    Support please!!

    1. are you happy with the outcome of our team ? where are the positives with the same manager with ni ideas? = gooner for ever

    2. @Bolly from Borehamwood

Not sure if you actually watch Arsenal, considering your comment, but if Wenger were to announce he was leaving asap, then everyone would be positive, and really get behind the team for the rest of the season.

  2. Seriously though, ‘Munich disaster’ in the title is a bit low. Those word do actually have a meaning just in case you are oblivious to EPL history.

    1. I believe the man utd tragedy is referred to as the Munich air disaster … The real Munich disaster involved a beer hall in 1920 and the germination of a mad dictator who eventually unleashed untold mayhem and bloodshed and became a delusional manager holed up in a bunker ( or was that a dug out) ordering loyal underlings to push around imaginary artillery (aka giroud and Walcott) that would retake the Soviet Union (or perhaps the EPL CL and FA Cup I forget) by reviving the glory years when things were going his way … Hmmm history is a funny thing

  3. For goodness sake of course we want a new manager next season but let’s stop the bloody moaning this season and support our team and as Robin pointed out, using the headline: Munich Disaster, shows ignorance of history of a real disaster. Poor writing, very poor!

    1. Four things need to happen as follows:

Arsene the Dope needs to go!

Arsene the Dope needs to go now!

Arsene the Dope needs to go immediately before he does any more damage!

Arsene the Dope must go now before the damage he is inflicting on the club becomes irreversible!

      1. I get your sentiments and agree it’s time for Wenger to go but do you have to be disrespectful and insulting towards Wenger by calling him a dope. Have some respect !!

  4. It was only some little details in defending at Allianz Arena that made Arsenal to lost heavily to Bayern Munich. But if the Gunners got their defending and attacking details right in the return leg at the Emirates Stadium, I believe Arsenal will beat Bayern Munich by 4 goals to nil and qualify for the Uefa Champions League quarterfinal match.

    1. Hahaha ??
Like I said before, You have to be the most positive Gooner that ever walked this planet. You’re more delusional than Wenger and that’s saying something. ?

  5. People kept talking about high wages but I kept asking the players to display that they deserve pay rise. You’re not winning anything and you want pay rise, I think that’s the case of many of the players. Apart from Sanchez, non of those players deserve a rise.

  6. Wow, Lincoln at home in the next round, even the FA are feeling sorry for us now ? Looks as if they wanna Make this cup a nice going away present for Wenger ??

      1. exactly. We’re done after we come up against City or Chelsea. And evn United, simply because their manager is Mourinho and that’s an automatic loss.

      2. spuds will get ptsd if they get to wembley, so i’d feel rather confident if we got that far and drew them. It seems inevitable we will have to face a hard team to win trophy though, so… good luck with that Arsene, who is obviously hoping this trophy can save his job again.

  7. Dont expect to be heard and considered
the club will never ever hear our voices if we keeps attending matches week after week
    boycott is needed
