Full Arsenal injury update finally GOOD news for Gunners

There are still a few international games to be played before Arsenal fans can relax and look ahead to the Gunners getting back to club action. But as long as the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Wojciech Szczesny come through their respective games without picking up any problems, then things are starting to look up on the injury front for Arsenal.

It looks like the slight fears over the fitness of our England striker Danny Welbeck and French centre back Laurent Koscielny will be groundless, as both Gunners are expected to be available to play against Hull City at the Emirates stadium on Saturday.

And according to physioroom.com, they could be joined in the matchday squad, if not the starting line-up, by club captain Mikel Arteta and the young French striker Yaya Sanogo, giving Arsene Wenger the extra options that he has been searching for in our injury hit start to the season.

And don’t forget that the long term absentees Theo Walcott and Serge Gnabry returned to full training last week, although how close they are to match fitness is unsure. And the manager has given the Arsenal fans another piece of good news, as reported by the Daily Mail, with a positive update on the prospective return date for our big centre forward Olivier Giroud.

Wenger said, “Olivier Giroud is recovering very well.

“I believe he is ahead of schedule in terms of rehabilitation. The operation went perfectly.

“Welbeck and [Giroud] can play together in the centre or separately.

“Welbeck also played on one side to Manchester United. Welbeck played in the same team with Rooney and van Persie. He can play down the sides.”

Could Wenger be considering a return to a 4-4-2 system by any chance?
