Giroud is happy, Aubameyang is happy, Arsenal fans are happy, now what about Ozil?

At last it has all come together. Arsenal have completed the signing of the superstriker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who was desperate to leave Dortmund and will be happy to join up with his old friend Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Also Olivier Giroud will be happy to move just across London so his wife can stay settled during her pregnancy, and he will get a pay rise and more playing time as a bonus. Michy Batshuayi is another one that is happy that he is now undergoing a medical ahead of his loan move to Borussia Dortmund, and the ex-Chelsea reserve will now get the regular starting spot he craves.

So the last piece of the jigsaw we want is that Mesut Ozil signs an extension at the Emirates, and according to Bild he will be more than happy to re-sign now that he knows he will be playing with Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang. The bad news is that they are forecasting that Ozil will wait until after the World Cup before signing on the dotted line for a rumoured £300,000 a week. They also say that Ozil is going to fit in getting married to his fiancee Amine Gülse somewhere in there as well!

So it looks like Ozil is going to very happy too, as well as Wenger and us Arsenal fans!

Happy, happy, happy! Everyone happy! Or are you not?

    1. Kos/Monreal/Bellerin/Mustafi are bad players? I just don’t buy that. There is no focus on defense at Arsenal. Wenger hasn’t spent a second on it for decades. No matter who he buys Arsenal will have a bad defense, because it’s no down to the personnel. We already have a lot of defenders in the squad. Comedy that the club thinks Evans will solve our problems, when the manager needing the sack is how to solve the issue. Finally instill some defensive discipline in this club. No chance those four players ship more goals than West Brom because they are not talented enough. There’s just no way.

    2. Welcome out here #YoPeirre. The return of the king, (King Henry II).
Good luck to you Olivier G. & a very big thank you for the solidarity. forever in our hearts.
Come on you mesut, sign the thing. #COYG #HappyMoment.

  1. According to Ornstein, Ozil has signed a new contract that will keep him at Arsenal till 2021, with staggering new salary of 350,000 per week! Brace yourself, fellow Arsenal fans, it could mean Arsene Wenger would also stay at Arsenal at least till 2021.

His contract extension and Aubameyang could also mean Arsenal would only get a new defender in the next transfer window, unless one of our current defenders or one of our current midfielders is sold (Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Elneny, Xhaka). I hope there is no bad news for Wilshere.

  2. According to the ever reliable BBC sport’s David Ornstein, Ozil has signed a three and a half years extension till 2021. 350,000pounds/wk
We are rebuilding. If we continue like this in the summer, we’ll have a formidable team for next season.

    1. Haven’t we just gone through a five year rebuild? Exactly how many rebuilds are needed to win a major trophy, or even challenge for one? Haha

  3. Hope alex song hangs around till season end to fill in for coq.a nice transfer its been hope Chelsea gives us David luiz

  4. Read that Alex song is training at London Colney. He’s been asked to get a new club. Can he solve our DM crisis, at least temporarily till the summer?
What do you all think? For me, I think it’s worth trying.

    1. He was never a CDM in my opinion.. However, even Denilson might be better than Xhaka!

David Luiz on loan would be luxury at this point..

    2. sounds like it could work out in our heads, but in reality, it would probably be a disaster. Song hasn’t been relevant since he left us.

  5. Keeping Ozil is a great accomplishment, so is getting Aubameyang, so is getting Mkhi out of the sanchez situation. Arsenal throwing all this money around but STILL won’t get rid of the real problem though, so this is all for nothing. It’s all for show. Wenger doesn’t deserve to coach these players, because now he’s the one that is not good enough. Arsenal going through all this effort yet don’t have the guts to sack this pile of uselessness, so the comedy show will just keep going on. This is NOT Wenger’s last contract either folks. More pain ahead.

    1. I completely agree. Who the manager selects, and how he sends us out hinders what little progress is being made off the field.

    2. hey! relax, at least now there are less ‘not good enough’ people in the team.. I hope we get max Meyer.

  6. But will Arsene put out the proper team with proper tactics? I feel as though a 442 with mesut at the 10 and laca and Auba up top, + mhki, jack, and a new cdm, and we might be at least be fun to watch again.

Bringing back Song feels like recycled flamini, but I bet he’s more equipped than Xhaka, so I’ll take it in the short term.

If Arsene continues to trot out a front 6 that includes Xhaka, Ramsey, el neny, and iwobi, (and mesut wide which has never worked) then expect more results like yesterday

  7. We are happy at least, offensively teams will not attack us knowing what could happen to them because our striking force is compared to none

  8. If we can somehow signs Evans and D Luiz id be pretty happy. Luiz could play DM for us, hes good on the ball and dangerous in the final third

  9. Now get Thomas Tuchel as manager for next season and get rid of Wenger . That will be the best transfer window.
