Giroud set for Arsenal return for Lodogorets in Champions League?

In the latest Arsenal team news Arsene Wenger has revealed that, different to what we all expected before going into the international break, the Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey and the French centre forward Olivier Giroud will not be available for the Premier League match against Swansea City this weekend.

As reported by Arsenal.com the boss went into more detail as to why Ramsey is still not fit to play and it appears that although he is no longer carrying the hamstring injury picked up in the first game of the season against Liverpool, the match fitness is not there and so Wenger is going to be patient and make sure that he is fully ready and not rush him back.

He suggested that the case of Giroud was similar but without going into the same detail and I think that we will be seeing the big striker much sooner. In fact I reckon he might even be in line for a first start of the season when the Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Razgrad come to London on Wednesday for the next Champions League match, and if you are thinking of coming then I know that you can still get Arsenal tickets from here at a good price.

For one thing, Giroud’s game is not about covering ground like Ramsey and so he could play without being 100 percent, especially in a game we should dominate and to be fair we should be able to beat the Bulgarians at a canter. I also think that the boss will be keen to give Alexis Sanchez a little break to keep him fresh for the title challenge.

Even if Giroud can only manage the first half, do you think he will start for Arsenal in midweek?
