Kevin Campbell has highlighted some key skills that Tammy Abraham has, and he claims Arsenal needs them in their next striker.
Reports have linked the Gunners with a move for the former Chelsea frontman who has been at AS Roma for a season.
In his first campaign at the Italian side, he reached new heights after leading them to winning the Europa Conference League.
He proved he can score goals outside England as well, and he has now been linked with a return to the Premier League.
Chelsea has an option to buy him back, but Arsenal seems to have a stronger interest in his return to England.
Former Gunner, Campbell wants Mikel Arteta’s side to sign him and tells Football Insider why, he said: “Abraham is a player who is an Arsenal fan, if I’m not mistaken.
“He has done really well in Serie A.
“He is big, mobile and scores goals. I would love to see him come. He is an option in behind and from crosses. Arsenal haven’t had that in years.”
Just Arsenal Opinion
Abraham has been a good striker for much of his career, and he is proving that his previous struggles at Chelsea cannot define him.
If we add him to our squad, we would benefit from having one of the finest English forwards in our dressing room, and his experience in Italy will be helpful.

As far as I know he’s not for sale and is quite happy where he is.
We had the perfect opportunity to sign him last year for the paltry sum of 35M, but opted instead to blow 50M on the unspectacular Ben White. Abraham is now valued at 70M; Ben White’s value, perhaps a conservative 30M. Another 40M through our fingers because we made the wrong call.
It’s actually mind-boggling how many times an individual can be wrong in a single post. Well done mate.
Too late, Arsenal. We had the chance last summer. He is very successful and happy where he is now. No reason to go elsewhere.
Every player, they say, has a price. Yes we could have, should have, got him last season. But we couldn’t ship out Laca. With the eye always on the burgeoning wage bill, we could not afford to keep them both.
I still think Arsenal should try to bring him in. If we can find an agreement with Roma, the player himself wouldn’t be a stumbling block.
Him, Jesus and Nketiah, what a strike force! Would reminiscent of when we had Sanchez, Giroud and Welbeck
Please let’s do it. And he is home grown!
Too late KC the horse has bolted.
We’ve lost the chance we had last summer, I think arsenal need to wake & look after better striker than him this summer, Though José Mourinho always have interest in him all the way from Chelsea.
