But “the real world” doesn’t impact on Arsenal alone, that’s daft. We can’t, and shouldn’t, keep using “the other” (whatever it may be) as a fallback. Arsenal spending some £250m on reinforcements so far would seem to back that up.

Although it seems to be Arsenal that somehow always gets set back the most, doesn’t it (according to some) because it’s been trotted out over the past two or three seasons in one form or another.
