Ian Wright is happy with the summer business Arsenal have done so far, but he also expects them to do more before the transfer window closes.
The Gunners have been one of the top clubs in the market this summer, and Mikel Arteta is happy with the additions they have made as they focus on quality over quantity.
They have one of the most stable squads in Europe and have been tipped to win the league and compete again for the Champions League after reaching the final last season.
Arsenal Must Continue Improving
Arsenal are one of the top clubs in the country, and the Gunners will be pushing to retain the league title and win other domestic trophies this season.
Their current squad is capable of achieving those targets, but they can still add more players before the window closes, and Wright expects that to happen.
He wants further improvement to the playing squad and believes their summer business is certainly not finished just yet. The former Arsenal forward feels the club still have important work to complete before the transfer window closes.
Wright believes Arsenal must act quickly if they want their new additions to have enough time to settle and make an impact. With the club aiming to compete on several fronts, further strengthening could prove important.
‘Arsenal still have a lot of business to do, and things have been slow up to this point,’ Wright told the Metro.
Wright Sets High Expectations
‘I know the World Cup would have had a big effect on that, but as we know how important it is to start this league strong, the sooner those new players can come in, the better.
‘We heard what the manager said after the Champions League final defeat about what was needed for the next level for this club so that’s what we are going to hold the club to.’
Wright’s comments underline his belief that Arsenal should not be satisfied with the progress they have made so far. Although he is pleased with the quality of their summer additions, he expects the club to continue strengthening.
The Gunners have ambitions of defending their league title while competing for further domestic honours and another Champions League challenge. Wright believes more business could help them reach those objectives and take the squad to the next level.
With the transfer window still open, Arsenal have an opportunity to respond to those expectations and complete the additions Wright believes are still required.

My dream final deals for incomings would be Kenan Yildiz and Ezri Konsa. Bring in those two and we’d look forward to a great season.
Then the icing on the cake would be to generate good cash from selling White, Vieira, Nelson, Jesus, Martinelli, and Nwaneri
So that would make eight players leaving the club (Trossard and Norgaard already gone) while we’re bringing in just four to replace them them CorporateMan, while not forgetting the long term injuries to Saliba and Timber?

I feel like sometimes people confuse the ease of transferring players in FPL or video games with real life.
It would be great to shift Vieira and Nelson for the benefit of all parties. I’m neutral about Nwaneri and Jesus – Jesus’s salary would be good to free up obviously. Not in favour of shifting Martinelli this window and I don’t think we should sell White either unless an “offer we can’t refuse” comes in. We can afford both and we need the depth!
lik why do you want to sell white. and dont you know that the club will not get sell easily all the players you metion. Maybe nwaneri, the others will end up leaving for almost nothing and the club will sell MLS. which is a dirty bad move, espexially if (and we will) sell to a rival.

It’s better to have the player who feel proud to be gunners. Martineli has never came to the subject of speculation to leave and I personally love the boy though need to improve.
