Arsene Wenger continually maintains that the top priority for Arsenal must be reaching the Champions League through finishing in the Top Four in the Premier League, but is that still really a possibility?
Do do that in the last 11 games of the season, we need two of Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea to lose 8 to 10 points more than us in the remaining games, and going by the results so far that is looking more and more unlikely as every week passes. Unless Arsenal really win every single game from now until the end of the season to have any chance at all to be honest.
The Arsenal legend Robert Pires has already accepted that that is now out of our reach and that it is time for the Gunners to just go all out to take the Europa League trophy as the only way we can save our season and get to next years Champions League. “United won the Europa League and went straight into the Champions League – for Arsenal it is very important to get this state of mind.

He is making sense to me. There is no one realistically below us to steal sixth place, so should we just accept we are out of the Top Five? Just go all out for the Europa League Trophy and get into the Champions League that way?

If we continue getting the favourable draws we could just reach the final.Once there anything is possible in a one-off game.I doubt our Manager has the tactical nous to get us past Atletico Madrid despite us having the players.The annoying thing is we are not considered as serious contenders because of our form and results.We SHOULD have been looking to win this trophy AND improve on last seasons pathetic 5th place finish.To not win the EL and finish outside the Top 4 will surely be the end for this Manager.Surely even he will know that his time is JP and he either walks or is sacked
Yes. I thought it was a priority from the start. However, the question is whether Wenger thinks it’s a priority. I hope he doesn’t mess up the lineups
We should have Lacazette by the next round (hopefully we will get through) though as it’s in May. I wish Aubameyang could play
Honestly winning the Europa League would save our season. United did it last season. Actually we could do what United did and win both league cup and Europa league which are the two trophies we’ve never won before. Mourinho focused on winning trophies and getting back into CL. He accomplished that. So can we?
But Phil is right. Atletico Madrid is probably the best team and I don’t trust Wenger’s tactics. There are other teams that could beat us ie Napoli, Dortmund, Lazio, Marseille, Villareal. It will not be easy and need a good draw. Also as I said, we really need Aubameyang but only if Dortmund is eliminated will we get him in it.
Without winning Europa our season will just be a disaster. 5th or 6th place and two seasons in a row out of CL is just unacceptable.

When Wengers teams and tactics kept us in the champions league for twenty seasons and in the top 4 for twenty seasons, that was deemed unacceptable.

You guys are kidding me, yes it’s our priority but we r not going to win it, simple are ABC. For the carabao cup final i don’t see us getting pass city. I hope wenger leaves. I would hv considered if he can win the EUROPA league and stay at arsenal to see out his contract next season, but he cannot win the EUROPA league with this team so he hv to leave at the end of the season.
