Jack Wilshere has insisted he is concentrating on playing for his new temporary club Bournemouth, and does not want to talk about Arsenal, but why?
The 24 year-old chose to join the Cherries for the season in order to gain regular first-team action for the coming Premier League season, having struggled with fitness and injuries in previous years.
Wilshere was rumoured to be in line for a new contract with his parent club despite having moved out on loan this term, and the Arsenal manager has even talked in the press about the midfielder working behind the scenes at the Emirates once his playing career is over.
Jack is uninterested in any talk however, and just wants to concentrate on the current season.
He said: “I don’t want to talk about that (Arsenal contract) at the moment. I’m a Bournemouth player now in my head. I want to help Bournemouth get as high up the league as possible and also for myself I want to play 25 or 30 games.
“I don’t care what people say. The decision was down to me and it was best for my career. I could have sat at Arsenal and just come on now and then. The manager couldn’t promise me I would play now.
“That wasn’t good enough for me. I want to play week in and week out. Bournemouth have given me the opportunity to do that.
“I’ve missed almost 18 months of football and I haven’t played in the Premier League week in and week out for a good time. I miss the Premier League.
“I spoke with the manager and as soon as I met with him I knew I wanted to work with him, to be my coach. It wasn’t what he said, it was the way he conducted himself.
“And after being here for ten days, seeing him on the training pitch, he can definitely improve me. He’s a great coach, he’s honest with you. For me he’s the perfect coach to come and work for.”
Is he having a dig at Wenger by calling Howe the ‘perfect coach’ for him? Is he saying Wenger has not been honest with him previously?

He just wanted to be left alone so he can be focused on his football, and that’s the reason why I stated on a previous post that a loan move to roma would’ve been best for him..

What a spoilt brat. ? it sounds as if he won’t be extending his contract while Wenger is still in charge at Arsenal.

Certainly has spat his dummy out hasn’t he! I believe it depends on if he stays injury free whether Arsenal will hold talks about an extension anyway.
Also, it would have been very wrong to start talking to the press about a possible new contract with Arsenal, when he’s only played 45 minutes for the Cherries

“He’s honest with you” The perfect coach? I miss the prem ..hmm. Bet if he cant sort out his injury problems he’ll happily sign a new and improved contract.
What did u expect? It will be foolish of him to start talking to the press about the possibility of a new deal with Arsenal right now. To me Wilshere is just saying the right words…
