Jack’s return set to give Arsenal timely boost

If the Arsenal and England star Jack Wilshere had not played 90 minutes for the under 21s on Monday, scoring a great goal which was not enough to help the young Gunners get the win they needed to win automatic promotion to the top division, I reckon that he would be in line for a first start of the season for the senior side on Thursday night.

However, I would not be at all surprised to see the talented midfielder named by Arsene Wenger in the match day squad for the home game against West Brom. I am not sure exactly where he will play if he does get on the pitch against the Baggies, especially as his favoured central roles are currently occupied by two of the Arsenal players in form, Mesut Ozil and Mohamed Elneny, but I do think that the team badly needs a boost at the minute and Jack could provide it.

For one thing it will lift the crowd to see Wilshere back after his latest unlucky injury and for another I think the 24-year old will be able to play without the shackles and lack of confidence that seems to have taken hold of so many of our stars in recent months.

Plus he has a point to prove and a place in the England side for Euro 2016 to secure, so is now the time for Wenger to bring him back and give Arsenal a timely boost to help us ensure that we do not drop out of the top four altogether?
