Can the world stop picking on Arsenal for a while. Not for long, I am not greedy, but it would be nice if we didn’t have to without almost a complete first team of players through injury for the rest of the season. And it would be nice if Arsene Wenger could complete his transfer business in January without some of the richest and most extravagant clubs in the world getting involved.
Fat chance, according to the latest Arsenal transfer rumours about our alleged transfer target Sami Khedira, who the Gunners supposedly already have an agreement with over the personal terms of his potential move to north London. But that does not mean we will get him, because as well as the apparent interest from Jose Mourinho and Chelsea, the Daily Express are now reporting that the Italian champions Juventus could hijack the deal.
The story goes that they may offer their Chile international midfielder to Real Madrid in exchange, or part exchange, for Khedira. Vidal has been strongly linked with a move to Man United but the Italian champions would apparently prefer to deal with Madrid and get a ready made replacement for their star midfielder. Juve would definitely be able to offer Khedira the Champions League football he demands, the only question is whether they would be able to match the wages on offer in the Premier League.
With the 25-year old allowed to talk to other clubs in January, I guess we will soon find out one way or the other. Do you think he will join the German contingent at Arsenal?

Please can we stop with the Khedira rumours. It’s not a ‘risk’ to us if it never existed in the first place. Have to say I’m amazed that Wenger admitted he was wrong to only have 2 CB’s. Never thought he would admit mistakes. I expected him to say “No we have plenty of cover at CB. Monreal can play there. We also have Diaby, Coquelin, Flamini who can slot in next to Per. We are bringing back Bendtner in january and plan to slot him in there as well.” PLEASE sign a REAL CB Wenger.

We didn’t go for vela we went for Guizmann but he chose to stay in laliga.

Although Khedira might be a great player, here are two things going against him. 1.) Age – he is 28 years old 2.) He is injury prone and the last thing we need is a another Diaby.
I think as a long term investment someone like Lars Bender or Morgan Schneiderlin (both even) would be great as both players are young and have already stood out in their respective leagues. Arteta and Flamini are getting on (in fact I think they have 1 more season left in each of them), so Wenger actually needs to bring in two decent DM’s to replace them and have some depth in that position. Bender can also play as a B2B midfielder if needed, he is a very versatile player and on top of that would fit in well with our current German contingent.
If we get khedira we should allow diaby to go as he is similar in playing style and a risk aswell. Alternatively if diaby has a good season, we could keep abou on a reduced contract for another season with terms heavily relied upon game time and release flamini who has his heart set on a marseille return.
I think arteta will get a new 1 year deal.we should go for someone with world class potential who wouldn’t command a starting role. The ideal player is yuri teilemens he is a quality young Belgium u21 and a starter for anderlecht at only 17years of age even bayern have had a look at him.he has the potential to be world class and wouldn’t turn down a move to arsenal. With arteta staying on it wouldn’t put pressure on him to develop before schedule.

His fee will probably the highest received for a cm due to is potential are arsenal willing to provide that outlay? I think the most likely team in England who would go for him is city. Lampard will be gone and toure is disgruntled so a swap deal for him with toure would be too tempting to turn down for juve.

Khedira is a big statement of intent he may not be an out and out def mid but he is a leader,winner,big game character, Vviera type
Schnederlin would be a great signing but with the way Southampton are playing chances are he won’t want to leave mid season and it would cost 25m north to start bidding for him in January
Laporte is as good as varane in my opinion top top quality for his age n position like pogba. 25m plus will be required but I genially think he would go down as another French legend at arsenal.

With that said, I would love to have him at the club. However, I would prefer Kondogbia purely because he has the same ability (if not more) and is a lot younger. But as I said, Khedira would be awesome!
Kondogbia would be a bench player I’m not sure if he is ready to start but he has been excellent so far this season outperforming toulalan in def mid this season.
