Koscielny injury means Chambers’ cards could cost Arsenal dear!!

When the Arsenal and England defender Calum Chambers picked up his fifth Premier League yellow card of the season, from just five starts and two sub appearances by the way, it did not look like it would cause the Gunners too much of a headache.

Our next league game being against Hull City at the Emirates stadium, it might even have been a good time to give the more attack minded young Spaniard Hector Bellerin another chance anyway, while the former Southampton player served his suspension.

However, it would also leave us very stretched at centre back, which now looks like it could be a big problem for Arsene Wenger now that the France international Laurent Koscielny was sent home from international duty because of an Achilles problem. According to a Mirror report, Wenger is confident that his first choice centre back will be available for the Hull clash but how often have we heard optimistic injury updates which have later been changed?

This injury situation is getting beyond a joke for Arsenal and if Koscielny does not recover in time, with Chambers ruled out we will have to turn to the Spanish left back Nacho Monreal, just back from injury himself, or young Isaac Hayden from the academy. Not ideal, Gooners!

Hull might not be the strongest of sides but they are no mugs and we do not want two inexperienced lads from the academy in the back four to face them. Can you believe that Arsenal lost two key players before an international game even kicked off? What’s next?

  1. Not good news. Kos is essential in all the recoveries required when Wilshere loses the ball on the edge of his own box.

    1. the one player we couldnt afford to lose – laurent koscielny….

whos gonna clear up merts messes, and calums calamaties

      dangermouse? bananaman? captain planet?

      1. cant lie being a arsenal fan is exciting as sh*t.
every week we get hit with something…eastenders minus all the soppy bollox

      2. Well, I was only kidding with the use of those brassy words in that comment of mine. My vocabulary repertoire is premised on the solid platform of intellectual proficiency.

    1. Admin, I did not use any explicitly obscene word, I see no reason why my mentally enlightening and factually inundated comment should be subject to moderation.

  2. So Wenger sent two injured players off to international duty? That’s ridiculous.

It’s like some sort of private joke that only Arsene is in on.

  3. It’s not Chambers fault, he is 19 and learning his game.

Wenger is the problem not getting adequate back up, he had ample time.

Why let TV leave and not have a back up?

Why let Jenkinson go on loan?

Bet the old fool regretting that decision.

    1. Completely agree. Chambers is way too young to be thrust straight in and cover constantly seasoned professionals like Debuchy and Kos. He is good but his inexperience may well catch up with him soon if Wenger continues to use him so heavily.

      1. @RVP
The only way to get experience is to play. Look at Jack. Dude is 22 and still f**kn up. Yet he manages to get 1st team game time in an important position.

  4. That was a stupid goal to giveaway. Looks like Spain will win now. It was a offside goal. Tuff luck.

The person who caught hold of Costa’s neck deserves a award. ; )

  5. Why not get a much needed DM?

why keep Campbell and not play him?

    Only questions Wenger can answer.

Dramatic sences. What a goal. Come on Slovakia.

  7. Koscielny has no time to rest and needs to recover quickly as we have “so many” defenders who can replace him… Wenger, “the deluded one, made some excellent “defensive” signings during the transfer market…!!!!

Just getting better by the days… We have basically “a all team” out with injuries…!!!

    1. Well earlier today I had a text from our legend Henry. He said that he heard something which he thought was nonsense until he read the Wilshere conspiracy theory. He had heard that the Ozil that turned up at the German training camp could not speak German.

This made me suspicious given Wenger’s animosity towards Ozil and his favouritism of Wilshere. So I looked into this a little further. I went through the missing persons reports for disappearances in Turkey and lo and behold a 25 year old fitting the profile of Ozil went missing last Sunday from a coffee shop in Istanbul while watching the Arsenal game (oh the irony).

So I went back to Henry and asked what language was this guy that turned up to the training camp speaking? He said Turkish and that his teammates thought he was being difficult. This further strengthened my resolve to expose the Wilshere conspiracy.

So I made contact with the family of the missing Turkish guy. To my surprise they confirmed that a genetic condition had caused this guy, Mustafa, to have a knee condition. Furthermore, Mustafa said that he had been approached three weeks ago by a tall gentleman with a French accent offering him a contract as an Arsenal player given he was willing to change his name to Mesut. When Mustafa refused he was followed for the following two weeks.

So there we have it. The Wilshere saga continues. Right now on ITV he denies he wants to play as a no. 10 and that he us happy to start of attacks. That is very suspicious given that we have Ozil missing and now all of a sudden he is denying he wanted that position.

        1. Tune into SSN tomorrow morning when I take Mustafa’s family to Colney and reunite them.

I bet you actually shed a tear at the dramatic scenes.

            1. You’re lucky bro. You have Arsenal legends in your country’s league. We have Arteta 😀

  8. Paco Alcacer anyone? Scored 16 in 38 matches last season and has started this season with 4 goals and 4 assists. And he’s still just 21!

  9. The news that Koscielny is injured is discombobulating. It is colosally obfuscating that Mr. Gru (Wenger) refused bringing in quality reinforcements, since we are short of players in defence. It is a monumental perilous lacuna, a gigantic and stupendous, yet, wilful infringement of the characteristically rather supposedly definitive ubiquity of common sense.

That Woodpecker who parades himself as the unquestionable gaffer of our now functionally indisposed club is slowly but rapidly dragging us down the channels of public ridicule with his impecunious and pendulous mentality.

        1. Heard we were in the race for Falcao..

Wenger was stunned when he moved to Manure and just then realized the Falcao he was after, was a 37-year old futsal Falcao, scouting him in the favelas of Brazil.

    1. @Sumo
They got rolled tonight…Slovakia put in a damned good shift W2W & B2B…
Looks like the games are starting to catch up to Costa.

      1. Damn right. After the game, the manner in which the substitute players ran to the field show how badly they wanted it.

      2. I sense profound jealousy on this site towards Costa. We had a chance to sign him but we didnt and you fake scouts on her kept predicting he would have failed in the EPL.I hope he keeps banging in goals…for spite

        1. I was against him and i still believe that he would not be as succesfull at Arsenal then him at Chelsea.

  11. When people are saying players are to young, I would like them to remember how old was Adams when he took over the captaincy.

    1. adams was a one off.

you’ve had how many beers? what do u mean u will sweat out being drunk during the game, bloody hell tony

      legend

    2. Hi Andrew hope you are well, just had a phone call from a bloke with a French accent asking if I play CB and did I have a mate who can play RB and are we free next Saturday, fancy a game !

      1. Hi mate how are you good I hope. The man with a french accent didn’t happen to be Henry did it 🙂

      2. I played centre
in rugby union years ago so
I will play DM. Still got boots with
aluminium studs, better file them up sharp 🙂
Just need to take the next flight
20 hours from NZ, be there for
        3 pm kick off.

        1. @davidnz
I played prop and I will take our opposition apart from limb to limb, maybe we could team up 🙂

    3. @Andrew AFC
Exactly. most here only want ready made players of 24/25 and up. Hell, they gotta start somewhere. Look at Sterling and Berahino leading the line for their respective teams and doing damage.
We need to throw in some of our Young Gunz and let em take up the slack while earning some well needed 1st team experience. Hell, it’s only Oct. and we could use them now…

Whats good Dude? Hope all is as it should be roun your way.

          1. Great chance for all the first team fringe players to make a name for themselves in the coming weeks and this excites me,still disappointed and annoyed with all the injuries but not a lot we can do about that.

  12. Injury rotation is keeping
    our players fresh 🙂
On match day who ever can
walk from the bus to the dressing room
without crutches is in the starting X1
Those with moonboots, arms in slings
or head bandages are on the bench 🙂 🙂 :).

          1. I got your back man i will translate the things you said for him in french.

Mr. Yankee, he says, Wenger tres merde, grand merde, hahaha

            1. @KS, u are my man. Thanks a lot.

I will soon go into coaching and my career will kickoff in France; how about working with me as my interpreter? I pay well.

  14. Eh, admin (or whoever is in the cockpit), please leave the first of that comment of mine and delete the rest.

    Thanks.

    1. Good question earlier why not get jenkinson back ?

My formation against hull 1-3-3-4 play Danny, akpom,Alexis and ox in an attacking four, score prediction 9-4 to the Gooners

  15. Injury after injury after injury after injury after injury… And it f*cking goes on. When will it end? New medical staff, new training methods and the players need to toughen up, they’re all just made of glass by the looks of things.

  16. If Wenger says it’s just due to “bad luck”, I will scream.
    You make your own luck
Starting the season with 6 defenders fighting for 4 spots is not a good start. Getting rid of Vermaelen, Sagna, Jenkison (on loan), Miquel and Djourou, then getting only Debuchy and Chambers is mismanagement I reckon.

Not to mention not gettting Fabregas. We could have easily made room for him by selling Arteta and Cazorla. Depth in a team is a good thing. He is a proven leader, goal scorer and assist leader. We also basically handed the PL over to Chelski like we did to United when we sold them RVP.

  17. @Cackarseman.
    Your Neanderthall observations
    are just too simple relegating
    your misanthropic bellicosity
    to inevitable quaver infrequency 🙂
My 3 year old grandson summates preferentially.

What a beautiful spring morning it is here
sun streaming down out of an azure hughed skeye 🙂
First full cricket practise this afternoon.

    1. Some outright display of malapropism there, and a clear case of a patient suffering from optical fragmentation.

  18. What a joke!!
So Chambers to cover CB, (with Per, oh sh*t!).
Bellerin to RB, who covers Bellerin?
    Re’ TV5: #buybeforeyousel
    Jenkinson back soon please.

There really is something wrong at our club, someone putting something in the water?
I reckon Wenger needs to stop scouting matches and get someone to spy on the Chelsea trraning ground!

  19. Conspiracy theory, could it be that both Ozil and Kos are not as bad as we think?
Could Wenger be doing a Mourinho/Costa type thing by talking up the injuries to avoid international matches?

  20. People are shouting and complaining why we sold Ver and loan Jekinz. Both are currently injured dudes. They are still on Arsenal DNA

  21. Lets just get behind our team and support them!!!! I know I might give our players a hard time sometimes but I have got AFC running through me like a stick of Blackpool Rock. GOYG

    1. I refuse to support the cause misfortune, but i am 100% behind the players. Well i only dislike Giroud but i feel srry for him already.

      1. Don’t support the cause then. it’s called football, where would our opponent’s be without spending money. They will go bankrupt before us.

    1. @Andrew, no problem, pal.

@Admin, I don’t know why I’d post a comment severally and it won’t get posted, then when I refresh the page, it suddenly appears. And sometimes one comment appears severally. Sometimes it would seem it’s not been posted, only for me to be notified about duplicity of the same comment.

  22. I can see the next topic already, its always the same. RELAX ARSENAL FANS, we have Monreal who can play as a Cb. In Wenger i trus, fak yea

  23. Would prefer Hayden….he offer pace and more pace

if Hayden can handle Soton he prob can handle Hull….

  24. @KS, u are my man. Thanks a lot.

I will soon go into coaching and my career will kickoff in France; how about working with me as my interpreter? I pay well.

    1. I have to discusse this with my Pakistani wife and my sons Mufusa and Sumo. Without them i cant say yes, srry.

      1. Dud, seriously leave Mustafa out of this! He is being reunited with his real family today!!!!!!!!

  25. aawwwwwww bless , so karma has come a calling to the emirates . maybe if some of you “sporting” fans stopped wishing bad luck and ill health on opposing players we might have better luck . what goes around comes around guys , enjoy our skeleton squad , youve brought this upon our team , hahahahahahahahaha.

  26. Our defence lacks rotation and proper training methods, that’s the reason why we keep losing players to injury at this stage in the season. This is our second worst start in 7 years.
