Arsenal can recall Eddie Nketiah from Leeds in January if this happens

Arsenal will have the chance to recall on starlet Eddie Nketiah from his loan spell at Leeds United in the January transfer window if these conditions aren’t met.

According to The Athletic (subscription required), Arsenal aren’t currently planning to recall talented youngster Eddie Nketiah from his loan spell at Leeds United in the January transfer window.

However, it’s added that the Gunners can bring back the starlet to north London if a certain performance-related condition is not met by the half-season stage.

Nketiah has been impressive this season, the ace has scored 11 goals in 16 appearances across all competitions for Leeds and England’s Under-21s.

Despite the forward’s fine form, Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is yet to hand the talented youngster a start in the Championship – Chelsea academy graduate Patrick Bamford has been preferred to the ace.

This is surprising considering that Nketiah has actually scored more goals than his counterpart.

Nketiah has been sensational for Leeds and England’s Under-21s this season.

The 21-year-old has proved that he has a natural eye for goal in recent months, we need to make sure that we can make the most of his talents in the future.

The ace would be playing backup to Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang if he was to be recalled in January.

In other news, did Wilfried Zaha prove that Arsenal made the wrong decision this summer with his phenomenal performance in our 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace.

Do you think we should allow him to develop at Leeds this season or bring him back to the Emirates and hope he gets a chance in the first-team?

  1. Let’s wait to see how things will finally pans out for Nkethia at the end of the half season campaign for Arsenal to know whether to recall him from Leeds or leave him to complete his season long load there. Or alternatively, loan him to another club side to continue to improve on the quality of his game which Arsenal are after in the first place but which Leeds are looking not to be doing to help Nkethia achieve that at the moment.
