Manchester City has joined the race for Julian Alvarez in a stunning twist to the future of the Argentinian star, who insists on leaving Atletico Madrid, Metro Sport reports.
Arsenal has shown the strongest interest in Alvarez outside Spain after Atletico vowed that he would not be sold to Barcelona, no matter what. The Catalans are his dream club, and the team he insists he wants to join, but Atletico is committed to denying him the opportunity to play for them.
The Madrid club is now looking to ensure that they keep Alvarez, but if he insists on leaving, they will sell him to a club outside Spain. That decision would hand Arsenal an advantage as they continue to pursue the highly rated attacker.

It seemed from the beginning that it was a big waste of time. What are they insisting on? To get someone who will be indifferent? It’s stupid. With this money we could get a more stable player and of course yes much better. Can we please Alvarez?
City please take your player
We can get Ndiaye of Everton for half that price and he’ll comfortably play multiple positions.
I hope Alvarez isnt our only option, he’s probably a decoy.

Why would he go to city to play second to Haaland when that was the reason he left city?
Alvarez isn’t going back to City to play second fiddle to Haarland, he’s going there to play WITH Haarland.
Haarland is the 9, the poacher. He does little but poach. But he does it well. Alvarez is the complete forward who plays at 10, and whose selfless pressing and movement off the ball, opens it all up for the poacher. Not that I wish to split hairs, but previously and once again it was not strictly 10 role, but SS Alvarez played alongside Haarland. If Haarland can’t make the squad, Alvarez steps up to 9, Foden or Cherki plays as orthodox 10 behind him.
Haarland is now getting issues with the stress in his feet.
Arguably the selfless presser and clever off the ball movement that makes everyone else better, is the star man in the team, not the poacher racking up the goals.
Ain’t happening.

Julian Alvarez is one of the top three center forward in the world on current form, probably only Ebbappy and Haaland ahead of the Argentinan international .

He’s hardly endearing himself to arsenal’s fans what with all his cry-a-baby nonsense. This kid stands to earn absolutely millions and there he is hesitating to play for us – surely he cannot be the only striker able to help us to the next level??
Leave him be – time we move on (already) I would rather invest in proven premier youth striker Eli Junior Kroupi even with his injury he won’t present the prima donner character we’re hearing that is the Argentine.
We are being linked with Endrick who is six years younger and has done well at Lyon on loan.
As usual everything being left to the last minute whilst we sign defensive players that we did not need.
If there is going to be any transfer in the coming 72 hours let is be that feckin useless sporting director.

He couldn’t cut it the 1st time in PL and left, golem couldn’t get his precious, had to settle for ath Madrid.
