Manchester United are one of the clubs interested in a move for Myles Lewis-Skelly, and the Red Devils have not given up on adding him to their squad this summer. They consider him an excellent player to sign and would like to use him at left-back if he joins, particularly as Luke Shaw enters the final year of his contract.
Lewis-Skelly is now an important player at Arsenal and has been playing in midfield for the Gunners. However, at the start of this transfer window, it appeared almost certain that he would leave the club on loan because of concerns over his playing time.
Arsenal have always wanted to keep Lewis-Skelly, but his lack of game time attracted interest from several clubs. Chelsea and Manchester United emerged as the teams showing the strongest interest in signing the Hale End graduate.
Manchester United Remain Keen
Lewis-Skelly has since been playing games for Arsenal at the start of the season and appears to be part of his manager’s plans. His improved involvement has not stopped other clubs from maintaining their interest, however, with United continuing to consider a move for the versatile player.
The Red Devils see Lewis-Skelly as someone who could strengthen their options at left back. With Shaw approaching the final year of his contract, United could benefit from bringing in a player capable of providing another option in that position.
Arsenal’s decision to give Lewis-Skelly more opportunities could make a potential transfer more difficult, but United have not been discouraged by his recent involvement. They continue to see the player as someone who could become an important addition to their squad.
United Could Push for Transfer
The Metro says United remain particularly keen to sign Lewis-Skelly and consider the move important after their shocking loss to Hull City in the first game of the Premier League season. The Red Devils are expected to push in the next few days as they attempt to add him to their squad.
The situation will depend partly on Arsenal’s willingness to consider an offer. The Gunners have always wanted to keep Lewis-Skelly, and his recent appearances suggest his situation has changed from earlier in the summer.
Nevertheless, United have retained their interest and could make another effort to secure his signature before the transfer window closes. His ability to operate in different positions makes him an appealing option for the Red Devils as they look to strengthen their squad.

Don’t see this going anywhere. It would be an utterly stupid move for all concerned. Myles is clearly much better as a midfielder than as a left back. He’s 19, developing, and his ceiling is so high, he could easily be worth £100m in a few years. I also don’t see any interest from him in making a move to Manure.

A relegated midfielder is going for £85m while the one who finished 17th is going for £100m.
MLS is already worth £100m now. In few years, he will be unsellable like Rice, Saka, Saliba, Gabriel and Raya
Yeah I thought someone would react to that off the cuff valuation. You’re right, if you can find someone willing, a player is worth whatever a buyer will shell out. I agree he’s definitely at that level in terms of talent and potential.
If this move is sanctioned, then serious questions would need to be asked of the club.
Myles Lewis-Skelly is an obvious talent who is undergoing an exciting development. It would be downright foolish to sell a player who has also done really well lately. I’m sure that if Arsenal choose to sell him, Arsenal will bitterly regret it later on. Just my feelings right now.

I wonder why you all think that MLS would leave, having seen him play most of the pre-season matches, the Community Shield, and the game against Coventry in his preferred midfield position and still have concerns that he would be leaving? And Arteta has already stated that MLS is going nowhere.

I’m really not sure about the whole Alvarez thing, Barcelona is a club that are on the edge of going bankrupt, haven’t figured in the CL, if he values such a club so much that he is willing to sit at Athletico for the next 4yrs, when his career will be over, cos they won’t sell him to them, let him.
I think there is more chance of Zubimendi leaving than MLS.
