MORE bad news for Arsenal on Alexis Sanchez

The Arsenal and Chile international star Alexis Sanchez was already in the red and running on empty as we headed into this current international break, and this was acknowledged by the coach of his national side. So Jorge Sampaoli suggested that he was going to have to be careful with the exhausted Arsenal forward.

Knowing Alexis and his desire to not miss a minute of playing the game if he can help it, the manager would have to rely on his own caution rather than that of the player, while at the same time having to weigh the balance between care for his player and the need for Chile to win as they are playing two World Cup qualifiers.

Well that balance came down on the side of the teamĀ“s success last night, as Alexis played the whole 90 minutes of their game against Colombia. Apart from Alexis getting injured, this could hardly have been worse for Arsenal, not only with our star playing the whole game but because Chile were held to a draw and that meant they were knocked off the top of their group by Ecuador. He did not even manage the morale boost of scoring either as he was denied by the Arsenal and Colombia keeper David Ospina.

This means that Sampaoli and Chile will be even more desperate for a win in their second game away to Uruguay on Tuesday night. Guess who will be the first name on the Chile team sheet for that one?

    1. oh Thank God!……….sanchez is uninjured!………the way the article was going, thought it was something of that nature!

      .

Hey admin quit frightening me with ur exaggerated headings!

      1. Give it a break ,you guys mothering this guy he is a soccer player and no manager will play a person who is not fit. You are making excuses for his mistakes on his game, simple, just pass the bloody ball more quicker than trying to beat every one and then you wouldn’t have too keep running back trying to retrieve it. If this was a Giroud playing like him not releasing to other players you would be shouting from the roof tops on get rid of him. Enough now of this dribble let’s wait till Sunday for who will be left out. I hope Gibbs starts on left with Cambpel on right, then bring on Sanches 60 th minute. CB

    2. Who exactly are you expecting to be bought as cover for Alexis that is better than the options we have in our squad.

Regardless of squad, noone could have predicted the number of injuries we have got. Buying new sigings wont have helped this, the issue of injuries is what need addressing.

  1. Wenger: Alexis,You need some rest..

Alexis: I’m fine boss, I want to play..

Chile Manager: Alexis, Its ok’ Get some rest son.

Alexis: We need to reclaim that top spot, I’m fine boss. I want to play.

We all want Alexis to get some rest but dude just wanna play. All the same, I hope He doesn’t get injured and when you think He is outta form, he gets his mojo back with goals. Remember games before Leicester City? He wasn’t scoring and looked tired then Bang, he got a hat trick against Leicester.

I just want him not to be injured. And hope he knows when to relax and rest.

  2. whatever happens he should be rested for WBA/norwich trips as well zagreb. Play Gibbs there, he can do a fine job against those three teams, champions league is a lost cause anyway. We need our best players for the best games not WBA/Norwich.

  3. Stick Walcott on the left, Chambo/Ramsey on the right and let Alexis rest until the weekend before our CL game

  4. Don’t worry about Sanchez’s Chili powered batteries!
As long as he doesn’t get injured, he will be okay!
His energy levels are one of a kind!

  5. Arsenal are very much in the red-zone and here we have a team that is patching itself on a regular basis with players like Wilshere,Oxlade and others taking 2 months or more. Alexis is getting the feeling of tiredness which also means that injury is around him hovering. The Chile manager is pretty much reliant on the performance of Alexis on his goals. Before they face Argentina or Brazil they need points or difference of 2 or 3 where he can rest him but the manager clearly needs him in every match.

  6. Listen Baby Please

I hate to point this out but if Alexis is rested we may have to play OZIL on the left against West Bromwich

I doubt OX will start. Walcott, Ramsey and Welbeck will not be available. Cazorla needs to stay box2box

Only other option is to play Alexis or risk starting OX

  7. Any Gunner that has played the full 90” in 2 games in this current international break should be rested altogether or be started on the bench by the Boss for the WBA match. Those in danger of being played twice in this international games are: Giroud, Ozil, Cech,? Gibbs,? Cazorla,?? Ospina, Sanchez and Koscielny?. The trio of our DMs(Arteta, Flamini & Coquellan) are all at home training. I think the Boss can still raise a strong starting XI for the WBA away match without haven to resort to starting the Gunners that are touted to be in the red zone or nearly in the red zone of injury fear.

    1. Ozil wasnt called into the Germany squad for these 2 games. We caught a break there. He should be well rested for WBA.
