There were a lot of questions asked about Mesut Ozil’s performance in Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat to Chelsea last weekend, but it now seems he was carrying an injury, whether sustained previously or during the game is yet to be ascertained.
It was reported this morning that on reporting for Germany he was immediately scheduled for a scan on his knee, which immediately threw up questions about whether the Arsenal medical knew about the problem before sending him off to the German camp.
Now the official German Twitter account has confirmed that Ozil will miss the next 10-12 weeks with ligament damage to his left knee. And has since been confirmed by FIFA.

This is another massive injury blow for Arsenal which will be only slightly alleviated when Theo Walcott returns shortly after being in the teatment room for the last god-knows-how-many months.
