Official Arsenal team and preview for Bournemouth away

After falling to fourth place in the Premier League last weekend, Arsenal have been put under even more pressure after seeing Leicester City stretch their lead at the top with an away win over Man City, while Tottenham also won to move into second spot.

So this away clash with AFC Bournemouth really is a must win game for the Gunners. And after enduring a goal drought in recent Premier League games the onus is on the Arsenal forwards to start finishing some of the many chances that our creative players like Mesut Ozil have been providing.

The Arsenal stars to bear the brunt of a lack of sharpness in front of goal this week are Joel Campbell and Theo Walcott, with both forwards starting from the bench. Arsene Wenger has gone for the more direct and dynamic Oxlade-Chamberlain on the other side to Alexis Sanchez.

The boss has also chosen Flamini over the fit again Coquelin alongside Ramsey in the middle and decided that the extra pace of Gabriel is the better option at the heart of our defence, perhaps worrying about the former Gunner Benik Afobe against the big German Per Mertesacker.

Cech
Bellerin, Gabriel, Koscielny, Monreal
Flamini, Ramsey
Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil, Sanchez
Giroud

Subs: Gibbs, Mertesacker, Ospina, Walcott, Campbell, Coquelin, Iwobi.

Arsenal have plenty of attacking options on the bench as well, so surely we will not fail to score for a fourth EPL game in a row will we? Will today see us get the title challenge back on track? COYG!

Flamini and Ramsay in middle again. HE WILL NEVER LEARN!!!!

    1. john0711 says:

      you beat me to it

      1. galaxygooner says:

        Prediction.
Another disjointed performance in the middle with flamini flapping around and Ramsey running about like an headless chicken , giroud huffing and puffing going about his usual wedding with the opposition defender, silly flicks and lamppost acts.
        Oxlade another brainless performance.

        1. muda says:

Its time to put flaMAXI and drop the f****g flaMINI.
          3points or nothing!!

      2. ArsenalGenes says:

        This confirms..
Flamini has nude pics of wenger. Only way to explain this shi$.
Wenger flamini — a painful love story. Worse than twilight..

        1. Jan says:

Yeah and Gabriel must got his hands on those too!!!

    2. Twig says:

Don’t worry. Flamini and Ramsey have been RETRAINED to play together. What are training sessions for? LoL

      1. Gooneristic Truth says:

It’s just crazy that at this point in the season, we’ve only scored 7 goals more than Sunderland… yeah, I mean that Sunderland which is headed for relegatetion.

    3. goonthinker says:

wenger is a loser and I am fed up with him.
My boy afobe teach that old c@nt a lesson he will never forget.
      Shame on you

    4. mohawk says:

The first reaction of every Arsenal fan.

    5. Fatboy Gooney says:

      Unbelievable ?

He obviously wants to buy some shares in Flamini’s business! ?

      What’s up with Elneny? ?
At least Mertesacker is where he belongs. …. on the bench!

I suppose, a pigeon step at a time with wenger is some improvement…. Don’t want the shock to kill him ?

      1. Fatboy Gooney says:

I fancy a Sanchez Hat trick today!
2 for super lamp and 5 assists for Ozil …

        COYG’s!

        1. Jan says:

          Wake up Fat..wake up!
          😀

      2. Arsenal 1st Knight. says:

Elneny is not injured. Presumably missing because his wife has just given birth.

    6. SoOpa AeoN says:

what wenger sees in the Kung-fu kid (flamini)…… I NEVER KNOW

what the hell is wrong with our manager?

    7. jackieboy says:

Tell me about it. Soon as I saw that the only thing I could say is WTF!!!!

  2. john0711 says:

Wenger- Flamini and Ramsey are there because of form ?. Oblivious, idiot In wenger we stagnate

    1. arsenalman365 says:

What’s all the crying for? Ramsey is probably our best fit midfielder and Coquelin is probably being phased in slowly to reduce the chance of injury. It seems that there is always a reason to complain these days.

      1. john0711 says:

Ramsey is not our best mid, he couldn’t clean santis boots , he’s selfish and will be off to spain at the first bid.
and why is flaming being played infront of Elneney if he’s not good enough why buy him, don’t give me this crap about getting used to the PL if that was the case buy him in the summer, wenger has favorites

        1. Trevor says:

Arsenalman365, I get your point and you are correct as I believe also that is the thinking behind it. But its no point having Coq coming in fresh if there is no title to win, this is a huge game and Coq should start and brought off if he starts to tire or slow a bit.

      2. Godswill says:

Yes. In as much as we don’t win titles with his tactics we must have reasons to complain. When he employs the right tactics and win, we hail him. Remember fans reaction after Man C game at Etihad last season?

      3. galaxygooner says:

Sanchez and ozil can play that position better than Ramsey .
I will even place a bet for Gabriel and cambell to do better

  3. pendzung de malindi says:

where da hell iz da new boy..? not even making da bench.?!

    1. Koss the Boss says:

Wondered that too. Arsenal injury curse already, wenger just keeping it quiet til someone brings it up!

      1. Juhislihis McLovin says:

Don’t worry, he like Gabriel, will be slowly integrated to the team. So we will see him.. next OCTOBER!

    2. Fatboy Gooney says:

Wenger doesn’t want to upset his brown tongue kid,
Ramsey probably moaned about Elneny taking to many shots on target against Burnley. ?

  4. Twig says:

When is Oxlade-Chamberlain FINALLY going to deliver on his promise???

    1. Juhislihis McLovin says:

He’s singing, dancing and joking in the tunnel as we speak!

    2. galaxygooner says:

Deliver. Many of you are only paying attention when he is on the ball.
      Watch Oxlade off the ball.
He is a shocking excuse for a footballer , weak as hell.
Should sell at the first opportunity.

      1. Juhislihis McLovin says:

On the opposite, Campbell is one hell of a player when he’s not on the ball. His defensive contribution for a winger is world class.

  5. samtz says:

Wenger+Flamin match made in heaven!!!!!!!,anyway he will drop him when he picks a RED CARD….

    1. Godswill says:

Yes. Let him pick red on the 94th minute and then we will be 3-0 up so that Le Coq can play next match. You know Wenger always count on red cards and injury to drop players.

  6. jt says:

the ref is from leicestershire and wenger’s playing flamini and ramsey in the middle…. again…. #prayforarsenal

  7. GunningSoulman says:

Ox?? Why? He hasnt done anything to deserve a starting spot.

    1. Koss the Boss says:

      Campbell starting is he not??

    2. Ks-Gunner says:

dance in the tunnel proved wenger that he is sharp and has funk

  8. Koss the Boss says:

So Francis couldnt of played this game and leicester for match fitness&sharpness for Barca coming up. This game is a must win and if hes fit he starts, should be as simple as that. If we mess this up Wenger needs to go as the title race will be beyond us and doubts will creep in even more whilst Leicester will be right up for paying us back next weekend for what happend in their back garden as they march on towards what we should be doing!

Hope this doesnt backfire Arsene, though 3points will do!!

  9. Godswill says:

Flamini and Ramsey. God save us from Wenger. Why was Elneny signed? Pair him with Le Coq in this kind of match and we are ready to go. Who ever knew Mahrez before now? Elneny is that kind of hidden gem. God please don’t met Wenger’s sins on us fans. Grant us this win. Please let him be proved right for the sake of us fans. AMEN.

    1. Krish says:

I rather believe in the prof who loves arsenal, is intelligent, has done and still is doing a lot for this club than in some non-existant stupid fantasy being named god

  10. mohawk says:

The Flamini/Ramsey combo is ALWAYS a big worry.

  11. Juhislihis McLovin says:

Campbell plays one bad game and gets dropped.. OX sucks for the whole season and gets the start.

    Where the fudge is Elneny?

  12. bayjerkoff says:

am sorry but we can’t win any away match with flaming at the middle….he runs forward but doesn’t make any positive impact…another boring draw or a loss

  13. Horliquegold says:

These days am supporting arsenal with an open mind,I dont wanna have heart attack due to Arsenal..
The only positive about this line up is that metersacker is on bench…
Arsenal players never give their all on pitch.. and wenger never learns..

  14. frogarsenal says:

I’m speechless, AW has done it again! Win or lose today, AW has once again left better players sitting on the bench!!!

  15. john0711 says:

Thumbs up for Afobe we should have kept him, i said this before and i wish him all the best
i bet hes gutted hes not playing against mert

  16. vinie2000 says:

Alex is being in good form? Flamini and Ramsey again? El Neny not even on the bench? why did you buy him for? ARE YOU REALLY KIDDING ME? YOU MUST PRAY WE DO NOT LOSE BECAUSE LEICESTER GAME WILL BE YOUR NAIL IN THE COFFIN..ENOUGH is ENOUGH

  17. Uzi Ozil says:

I am used to Wengers line up….He impresses us with Kos + Gab then he annoys us with Ramsey + Flamini…..Why get Elneny if He isn’t even on the bench?

    Let’s just hope we win…….

  18. rkw says:

Wenger is becoming a parody of himself … Anyway if we don’t win today and next weekend any remaining chance of a title will be gone … The only positive from that will be the greater likelihood of a post wenger world … We are playing a team 6th from bottom that has conceded 40 goals or so … And we are not sure we have a side to beat them’!!!! .. Massive game for Ramsey and ox as they don’t deserve to be playing on any football criteria so a top drawer performance from both a must … Not going to comment on flamini inclusion if he scores a hat trick I might change my mind

  19. Nokia810 says:

What the f**k has the ox done to deserve a start?!
He should consider himself to be lucky to sit on the bench let alone start a game
Iwobi has already shown he has a MUCH better footballing brain

    Regarding flamini and ramsey……no words

  20. samtz says:

ELNENY?I wonder why everyone questions where is Elneny?didnt you hear Wenger comments after his debut??He Said Elneny is not ready!!if you watched him carefully, you noted he is soo slowy, very cautious and not a DM…Wenger now wondering where to play him!!he is not DM to be honesty, then where to play him??I thnk Wenger has given ELNENY a Special training to be READY,SURELY he is not what we needed at the moment, best buy we could make was XHAKA but not ELNENY……

  21. Ks-Gunner says:

play your hearts out you f….ing underperformers and smash them away

  22. olabans says:

i heard a rumour that arsenal are considering a move for frank rijkaard as wenger replacement

    1. Juhislihis McLovin says:

Okay okay, he is credited for creating the Barcelona of today. But then I read about his coaching philosophy which says:

“As a coach, Rijkaard’s essential philosophy is to guide his team towards playing attack-minded football as a cohesive unit”

Oh no, it’s our most recent signing, Mr. Cohesion!!

  23. Bolly from Borehamwood says:

Enemy became a dad today that’s why he has not been around!

  24. olabans says:

    frank rijkaard (former barcelona coach)

  25. Bolly from Borehamwood says:

    Elneny it should say.

  26. Fatboy Gooney says:

    Somethings missing here? ?

    I think his upset….. ? @ NY_Gunner ??

    1. Juhislihis McLovin says:

I don’t blame him. This site has been very negative and whiney, me included. Can’t help it with the choices Wenger makes week in week out..

      1. Fatboy Gooney says:

        I wasn’t talking about that ?
I was referring to the ” WE GOT THIS ” part! ?

  27. emmnuel neci says:

Wenger is just as stupid as his name. When is he gonna learn? Wen is he gonna make his players to learn how to step up. What’s flaminin doing there? Is le coq not fit to start why do we keep doing the same thing over and over again yet we expect different result. Anyways all I want is 3pts and noting more.

  28. Juhislihis McLovin says:

    Double footed idiot Flamini..

    Sub him off already

    1. Fatboy Gooney says:

Flamini is odds on now. .. to get sent off!
Well done Wenger!… f@#@ing deluded old fool ?

  29. Ks-Gunner says:

    flamini is nuts, lol

  30. Sam, need a striker says:

Stupid Flamini, don’t know how to tackle … Take him off Wenger before the red card …

  31. vinie2000 says:

    OMG Ox..

  32. Jan says:

    Just tuned in…
    Still 0-0?
Oh my god!!!Clueless Gabriel,Flamini and Ox in starting 11?That means we playin 8 against 11…AGAIN!!
L nany on the bench…Wenger must be keeping him fresh for season 2016-2017.

  33. Demwan Jones says:

    Kung fu flamini

  34. Davros says:

    The Flamini/Ramsey combination worries me

I am fine with Eleney/Ramsey or Coquelin/Ramsey or Flamini/Cazorla (if not injured) or even Coquelin/Eleney BUT very worried with Flamini/Ramsey

  35. GunningSoulman says:

This looks like a typical slow starting arsenal performance

  36. Robin Vanpayslip says:

Flamini, Ramsey and Ox in the same team – looks like Wenger doesn’t like possession football anymore

  37. Ks-Gunner says:

ox you are no adriano to shoot from that distance

  38. NIKK says:

Attack looks so lame with the lamp post upfront…stubborn prof sticking to his comfort zone

  39. reddb10 says:

wenger said that people judge him for not buying a top player but are supporting leicester who have no top players. Well Arsene it just goes to show what can be achieved when you dont have a clueless manager

  40. BUR says:

Is the ox playing for Burnmouth? Poor start, poor passing.

  41. Demwan Jones says:

The british players have been crap this season

  42. Juhislihis McLovin says:

    Özil!!!!

  43. Demwan Jones says:

    Goal mesut, great one

  44. BUR says:

    Nice one Ozil!

  45. Juhislihis McLovin says:

YES OX THATS WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU!!!

    1. Jan says:

      I want him out!

  46. Ks-Gunner says:

Yaaa mesut, schönes Tor. Ox i always believed in you. hahah

  47. BUR says:

No he is playing for Arsenal, superb

  48. ras911 says:

So where are all the insults now? 2-0.

  49. GunningSoulman says:

Yes Ox, finally u knob! Now concentrate!

  50. galaxygooner says:

The world is coming to an end

    Oxlade chamberlain scores

  51. Demwan Jones says:

    Another one, yesss

  52. AWWAL says:

They started playing rubbish already, lucky to score, I really pity Cech, Ozil and Sanchez in this team.

  53. gunnerman8701 says:

For a f****** change. A convincing win might just boost our morale going into the Leicester game. (Leicester favorites to win the league at this point).

  54. Krish says:

now shut up you stupid haters… what some of wrote about wenger was utterly disgusting and despicable

  55. vinie2000 says:

Ras stop it..it is not an insult..we should trash Cherries so what’s wrong with expressing the facts? If they score one then we will start cracking so less increase our GD in games like this..it will count

  56. Jan says:

Oh unlucky Ox …what a shot!!! Almost made it!!
But luck for us, the ball went in!

    1. Krish says:

      what do you mean? :/

      1. gunnerman8701 says:

        Sarcasm ??

      2. Jan says:

I mean that everytime he shoots it looks like he’s aiming off target.
Thats because he always looking down on the ball not aware where he or his teammates are positioned.Bad bad player.

  57. gunnerman8701 says:

Gabriel needs to keep composure when he’s the last man standing. Thank goodness for Bellerin’s speed.

  58. vinie2000 says:

Flamini chasing shadows is amazing..how easy to get through that midfield..he should not be in DM against Leicester..we need 2 more goals to kill the game off..

  59. Jan says:

Oh nice clearing Gabriel..one of the beat Ive seen!! well done!!

  60. Krish says:

    gabriel is having difficulties

  61. Jan says:

This Gabriel’s mistake from 32 min was even worse than Merts red card tackle against Chesheet…Get him OUT!!
And Belerin had to run down to save his azz.

    1. Ks-Gunner says:

no it wasnt, bec it better to concedea goal then to get a red card

  62. Ks-Gunner says:

So far so good, dont complain

  63. vinie2000 says:

More games give you confidence but not 2 games a season gunnerman..other players have been for 10 years and still do not make it up.

  64. Ks-Gunner says:

game is very boring, very happy that we lead to 2 goals though

giroud is not playing, and sanchez is also out form. comon arsenal

  65. vinie2000 says:

keep the high tempo..kill the game early and then subs key players for Leicester game..they already putting the break as usual..COME ON..if they score one goal then pressure piles up like against Pool..KILL GAMES specially whit opposition like this for the love of god. GD IS A KEY AT THE END

  66. Juhislihis McLovin says:

We need to score more. Stop the sideways passing and defending a 0-2 lead, it will lead us to concede. Bournemouth plays high line so long walls will do it. Counter-attacks with Giroud are useless so just whip it in. Oh and their fullbacks dart forward, so there should be space on the wings.

    1. Juhislihis McLovin says:

Oh and Flamini got a yellow for another meaningless tackle, there was no need for that. Is he an idiot or what? Has he ever heard of a professional foul?

Sub him off and bring Le Coq. Flamini is s***e without yellow but with it he’s just useless.

      1. RSH says:

What is the reasoning behind starting Flamini? Half-fit Coquelin is still superior by quite a margin. Flamini is just useless for us now. Same with Arteta.

        1. Juhislihis McLovin says:

Hear hear. Coquelin is half-fit, Flamini is half-wit.

          1. muffdiver says:

            two halves make a whole!

            put them together ..francis flamini..

            richest dm in history

        2. Jan says:

Same with Alexis against Chelsheeet. He was fit for that game so he should start!Get the job done,Gain advantage and then take him out!

    2. ArseOverTit says:

      Couldn’t agree more.
Let’s see how we are set up next half (whether completely counter attacking or actually offering some threat i.e defence as offence)..

Flame is a liability. Should not come out second half so we can keep 11 men on the field (wenger!!!?)

  67. rkw says:

Two nice goals and ox has done himself some credit … But we need coquellin on for 45 mins of competitive fball … Not just because we have no midfield — other than a card Ramsey flamini combo has done nothing — but because he needs to be fully match fit for Leicester who will b a different proposition … Would like to see iwobi for giroud as well at some point .. Not enough movement up front as ox seems to hang back more than Campbell

    1. RSH says:

Ramsey flamini combo has done nothing? Ramsey created both chances on the goals, and he’s been stopping several balls in the box. Flamini is the weak link, but stop hating on Ramsey for no reason when he’s been our best player today along with Ozil.

      1. Juhislihis McLovin says:

Yeah, Ramsey whipped in the cross from which Özil scored and assisted OX. Flamini has been useless.

  68. RSH says:

Okay, we can do much better though. Gabriel looked stupid losing that 1v1. At least he didnt pull a Mertesacker though. Alexis could be sharper too, but not very concerned about him. Giroud, fine with the assist. I still want him in the game more overall. Ox scores 1st away goal in 5 years. Congrats but how do you even make any team with a stat like that honestly? Ramsey has been our best player with Ozil so far. Main goal is to finally pick up 3 points and as long as Flamini doesn’t make another potentially RC tackle we should be fine I hope. Let’s get this cleansheet as well please!

  69. Big Gun says:

Feel embarrassed for the first lot of comments. C’mon gunners we are still in the title race!!!

    1. muffdiver says:

really two goals against bournemouth and your doing the mexican hat dance?
      have u watched the game?
we look shaky, losing the ball, errors. i dont see a title charge.
when Leicester comes we shall see

but yes agree some of these comments are very ott

      1. Big Gun says:

A win is a win pal. What do you expect 10 – 0? Be realistic

  70. muffdiver says:

who is the ref..i love him.

cant see how flamini didnt get a straight red

love u with all my heart referee

    1. RSH says:

if he made contact it would’ve been a red. Luckily he won the ball and didn’t touch the player with his boots.

      1. Trevor says:

Does not matter if you win the ball, you have to win it fairly for it to be a fair challenge. It was a straight red no arguments. Could have cost us the game.

  71. BUR says:

I hope Flamini does not come out for the second half, to risky he should have got the line.

  72. Trevor says:

Mesut Oooozil is a complete joy to watch, when he is up for it his thinking is so ahead of everyone else.

  73. Lethal Prince 9 says:

    Whining, whining and more whining

Guess that was a perfect response to all the whiners (with some mistakes, but we have Cech)

2 goals up at the half time what do we need more
    Ozil scored, Ox scored,
Yea Flamini has a yellow card, that will keep him limited at least.

    Nevertheless
    COYG

    1. muffdiver says:

mistakes, man cant u see the attitude of the players, there not pressing, tracking runners. its the same as usual, its the attitude.
literally have aob who hate everyone or akb who are blind

      either way were screwed lol

    2. rkw says:

F@@@ me … You’re like Jason from Halloween

  74. muffdiver says:

    no one tracking runners. commitment?
    title charge? yeah right
    not happy

  75. Jan says:

Oh my….Ox and Mon both got fooled like bunch of beginners.
Ox is so helpful in defence!

  76. vinie2000 says:

it was pretty obvious they will put pressure from the way go..WHY? settling with 2-0? same old story, is it?

  77. Sack-Wenger says:

Is Ozil going to break assist record or not.

Can’t blame him if he does not, it the idiots he supplies.

  78. Jan says:

Oh I forgot …Ox scored so he will play every game from now on…it will be hard for Wenger to decide who’s gonna be our captain ox or walcot.

  79. Ks-Gunner says:

you are better then that giroud, that was ugly

  80. vinie2000 says:

Cherries 75 – Arsenal 25 possession..come on..really? against cherries? putting the foot off the gas..they are getting excited..one goal will change whole game.eye ball chasing from Ramsey and Flamini right now.

    1. rkw says:

So negative … We r saving ourselves for barca .. By the way can someone remind me when the 25 goals a year in EPL man last scored

  81. Jan says:

Our legend is ready to come on!!I’m soo exited!

  82. Juhislihis McLovin says:

Defending doesn’t seem to interest Sanchez or OX

  83. ArseOverTit says:

Why can’t we keep the ball?

I get it that Bournemouth are obviously going for it but how about trying to keep the ball so they don’t have it, build from midfield and then perhaps create some clear chances? Not asking for total football but it is very counter attack orientated.

Alexis did well, shame no one thought it worth getting in the box..

  84. vinie2000 says:

They bring 2 forwards and here we go 20 mins left and brings LeCoq for a winger instead of Theo to keep the pressure off us..Tactically clueless..

  85. BUR says:

Why is he leaving Flamini on? Giving it away to easy.

  86. muffdiver says:

see that look on coquelins face…thats the keane death stare

    bad mofo…glad your on

  87. Fatboy Gooney says:

We score two goals in a minute and then sit back and invite our opponents to score!
We need to boost up our goal difference ffs!

Wake up old man and make some subs!

    Flamindowski off…. Coquelin on.
    Ox off…. Campbell on
    Giroud off… Walcott on

    1. Ks-Gunner says:

we are being feiithfull to our attacking style of football, hahaha

  88. rkw says:

Ramsey is hopeless hey doesn’t he give iwobi a run ? He’s got flamini and coq there

  89. Twig says:
