Official Arsenal team and preview for Bournemouth away

After falling to fourth place in the Premier League last weekend, Arsenal have been put under even more pressure after seeing Leicester City stretch their lead at the top with an away win over Man City, while Tottenham also won to move into second spot.

So this away clash with AFC Bournemouth really is a must win game for the Gunners. And after enduring a goal drought in recent Premier League games the onus is on the Arsenal forwards to start finishing some of the many chances that our creative players like Mesut Ozil have been providing.

The Arsenal stars to bear the brunt of a lack of sharpness in front of goal this week are Joel Campbell and Theo Walcott, with both forwards starting from the bench. Arsene Wenger has gone for the more direct and dynamic Oxlade-Chamberlain on the other side to Alexis Sanchez.

The boss has also chosen Flamini over the fit again Coquelin alongside Ramsey in the middle and decided that the extra pace of Gabriel is the better option at the heart of our defence, perhaps worrying about the former Gunner Benik Afobe against the big German Per Mertesacker.

        Another disjointed performance in the middle with flamini flapping around and Ramsey running about like an headless chicken , giroud huffing and puffing going about his usual wedding with the opposition defender, silly flicks and lamppost acts.

    1. What’s all the crying for? Ramsey is probably our best fit midfielder and Coquelin is probably being phased in slowly to reduce the chance of injury. It seems that there is always a reason to complain these days.

        1. Arsenalman365, I get your point and you are correct as I believe also that is the thinking behind it. But its no point having Coq coming in fresh if there is no title to win, this is a huge game and Coq should start and brought off if he starts to tire or slow a bit.

  8. So Francis couldnt of played this game and leicester for match fitness&sharpness for Barca coming up. This game is a must win and if hes fit he starts, should be as simple as that. If we mess this up Wenger needs to go as the title race will be beyond us and doubts will creep in even more whilst Leicester will be right up for paying us back next weekend for what happend in their back garden as they march on towards what we should be doing!

Wenger is becoming a parody of himself … Anyway if we don’t win today and next weekend any remaining chance of a title will be gone … The only positive from that will be the greater likelihood of a post wenger world … We are playing a team 6th from bottom that has conceded 40 goals or so … And we are not sure we have a side to beat them’!!!! ..   66. We need to score more. Stop the sideways passing and defending a 0-2 lead, it will lead us to concede. Bournemouth plays high line so long walls will do it. Counter-attacks with Giroud are useless so just whip it in. Oh and their fullbacks dart forward, so there should be space on the wings.

Giroud, fine with the assist. I still want him in the game more overall. Ox scores 1st away goal in 5 years. Congrats but how do you even make any team with a stat like that honestly? Ramsey has been our best player with Ozil so far. Main goal is to finally pick up 3 points and as long as Flamini doesn’t make another potentially RC tackle we should be fine I hope.     I get it that Bournemouth are obviously going for it but how about trying to keep the ball so they don’t have it, build from midfield and then perhaps create some clear chances? Not asking for total football but it is very counter attack orientated.
