Official Arsenal team and preview of Man United clash

Today is a big day for Arsenal and potentially a pivotal one in this Premier League season, as whoever wins the game will head into the international break with great belief and in a very good position to challenge the leage leaders Man City for the title of champions.

The Gunners need to bounce back after another damaging defeat in the Champions League but we do have that excellent five goal performance at Leicester City last weekend to give us belief and encouragement. There are no real surprises in the team Arsene Wenger has picked, with Ramsey keeping his place on the right and Theo Walcott chosen over Olivier Giroud to lead the line of our attack.

Cech
Bellerin, Mertesacker, Gabriel, Monreal
Cazorla, Coquelin
Ramsey, Ozil, Sanchez
Walcott

Subs: Debuchy, Gibbs, Giroud, Ospina, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Chambers, Campbell.

That is a pretty strong bench but hopefully Wenger will not have to turn to it in adversity. There are likely to be some key battles at the Emirates today, with the pace and movement of Walcott up against the makeshift United back line one that we need to go in our favour.

Van Gaal has gone for two holding midfielders in Carrick and Schweinsteiger and we may need to be very patient to break them down. What we must not do is flood forward and leave ourselves open to a counter attack. Can Arsenal get our game management right and bag three vital points against the old enemy?

  1. Ashley young in defense for them against Alexis Sanchez by the looks of it. Show some fighting spirit! COYG

      1. Where is this RSH of an idiot? You made me to miss the two goals when I was trying to respond to your negativity. Thank you Ozil, for Sanchez, always ever.

  2. If we score first we will win,
    If we don’t ….
Then drop your prawn sandwich and head to the exit,
It’s gonna be one of those days… again!

  3. Smart Wenger, he is clrearly trying to outsmart the manure manager with tactical changes. LOL. Off seing the match with some manure mates, I hope that i will be the one who will walk off happy from the match in the end. COYG.

  4. They are having Carrick and Schweinsteiger, not sure they got the required energy in midfield… but loads of experience…. Ramsey has to play defensive to help Hector, infact everyone has to play their defensive roles has well.

Not going down without a fight.

  5. My preference is Ramsey not to play RW but hopefully he will have a good match.

    Otherwise happy with team

Most important are key attackers Alexis, Walcott and Ozil are starting

Defense, Gk, DM and b2b are good, but Mert and Gabs need to work extra hard without Koscielny

    1. its just one of those fixtures we don’t win. And there’s nothing to suggest that will change today. Praying that I’m proven wrong today.

      1. Admin, why can’t you ban this idiot? He’s irritating us Arsenal fans & supporters. Am feeling gooooooood.

  6. Well said Thierry – time for Arsenal PLAYERS to man up and ‘answer the call’
    100% commitment, 100% concentration needed.
We need this result bad, no stupid mistakes, no sendings off, and we’ll win.

  7. Predictions

Walcott to score a first half goal (as usual) and quiet in second half
    Ozil to be annonymous
    Ramsey to be ineffective
    Monreal to be solid
    Sanchez to be unplayable
Martial to make Wenger regret calling him a “winger type”
Rooney to have his best game of the season (he loves Arsenal that much)

  8. I´m pretty sure I wont be able to see the whole game, I feel arsenal will be an embarassement.

  9. Good luck today.

Hope for the best and no embarrassing result.

Hope all players perform and we have an entertaining game, which we win of course.

  10. If we will win, it will mean the players will push for it, will definitely not gonna be Wenger’s tactics cos he’s got none.
    COYG, go for it!!!!!
Whatever the result, Wenger needs to be changed. Wenger Out, Wenger Out, Wenger /Giroud Out!!!!!!

    1. Lets hope they keep it up and dont go into their shell.

This is the thing with tjis team, in 5 minutes they can rip best teams apart, but they dont di it every game.

    1. A few yew years ago we had the likes of Santos, Squallici, Bendtner and Gervinho in the squad…

  11. ozil & alexis on track, now need ramsey to get out of that slump, theo speed just changes the whole machine, creates nightmares to defend, fits our scheme,

  12. I don’t know about anyone else, but although we’re 3-0 up , I’m worried about Martial.

Haha…has he touched the ball yet??

      1. DON’T EVER WAKE ME UP FROM THIS DREAM. OOH, MY HEAD HIGH AS ARSENAL FAN. WHEN LAST DID I FEEL LIKE THIS/
