Official Arsenal team to face Chelsea – Aubameyang on the bench

It is not inconceivable that Arsenal will win today, we are not talking about teams that are that far apart and it would not be a stunning upset if Mikel Arteta guides the team to victory over the Blues.

Are Chelsea favourites? Of course they are and on balance they should leave the Emirates with three points, however, the same was said when Liverpool played Aston Villa or even Burnley against Arsenal. This is the Premier League and any team can beat any other team on any given day.

Obviously, a lot will depend on the team that Arteta puts out, he really needs to get it right.

    3. Telling you, his movement makes all the difference. Martinelli too. It makes space for the others – recently we’ve been too rigid and giving the defenders an easy time

    1. Yeah I see ur point, Chelsea was a bit off but the youngsters gave it a go with their energy. Martinelli is a positive energy for real. Auba should see how to play now. All he needs to do is show some fight.

    it’s almost a season to discount with all the covid non sense, no fans regular muscle injuries, players out due to covid etc.
    Just roll with it try to keep momentum and look forward to next year.

    Viniscius in loan from Real Madrid, Buendia from Norwich, (to rotate with ESR) and if possible a big front man.

    2. Vini to be honest is not looking like a possible deal. Zidane likes him and wont loan to us. Also his final ball is kind of hit or miss. Buendia is a great potential deal. And I hope if we cant get a tall striker then MA try Moller. For the squad, I think if Saliba comes in or goes out on loan would be a good thing, dont know anything about MO’s return which looks unlikely but would certainly provide something different, and then try for buyers for players like Musti, Sok.

      1. Completely agree – don’t want anyone else on loan or from Madrid, they don’t all have the requird hunger and they would be another massive financial risk. Buendia looks like exactly the kind of smart signing we need. Frankly we just need an older ESR-type of player so we don’t become too reliant on youngsters but the striker can wait until end of season.

  41. I am very happy tonight. We won against Chelsea. Our keeper also saved a penalty. Pla Arteta, Play Smith Role and Martinelli in the next match. Edu deserves slot of credit for bringing in Martinelli for 8m pounds. His energy is contagious. He does not give up. Always running and working hard.

    I know I have slated Xhaka in the past. Still do not think he is good enough but so so pleased for him because he always gives his best. This is probably the best captain’s performance I have ever seen from him.

    COYG.. Keep your feet on the ground (it is only 3 points) and go and beat Brighton on 29th.

    2. Xhaka has shown he can be class, but he’s not consistent enough. Loses his head too easily. He played smart and to his strengths today.

    3. I made a special recognition of Xhaka before the start of the game, and I will say it again, apart from Partey, we do not have a better CM /DM ATM.
      he is not a brilliant players but who do we have? ceballos? or elnely? and for the record AMN has never been viewed as option at the middle by our last 3 coaches, so I don’t know why fans think he deserves to start ahead of a tested Xhaka – that to me, is a gamble, and a costly one at that because I have seen a couple of AMN performance in cup games at the middle, and nothing special. I see him as winger/wingback.

      1. I don’t think they’re comparable players. AMN would take elneny’s role in the side if he were to break in. He’s athletic and can break up play. Partey is more comparable to Xhaka as he has better passing ability.

  45. Definitely a case of making your own luck through a positive attitude. Like all above loved what the youngsters did and can’t wait for Partey’ return plus hopefully one new ,young addition in midfield.

  46. The best form of defense is attack. I hope MA understand this.
    Before the game, I spoke about character and ghats exactly what gave arsenal the edge. Saka is my man of the match, hopefully we keep this front 3 for a while, our attackers have been our downfall all season and today they showed up, Chelsea were lucky to get away with just 3goals

    1. Don’t think we’ve played a negative style, we just haven’t found a way to attack effectively. Players like Willian and Pepe just stand in their wing position, which makes everyone easy to mark and we don’t have passing options. Today we had movement in different areas of the pitch which created problems for their defenders
