OFFICIAL Arsenal team to face Sunderland – Giroud starts, Sanchez too!

We are expecting a little rotation this evening as this match against Sunderland should be the easiest game of our run in so far, and we have two MUCH more difficult games ahead.

We thought Koscielny would be rested to face a team that hasn’t beaten us in 15 games and are certain to be playing Championship football next season, and that has proved to be true. Otherwise Holding, Mustafi and Monreal are kept on to keep us strong at the back.

Bellerin is kept in as Oxlade.Chamberlain is unlikely to be fit until the FA Cup Final, with Gibbs on the other wing-back role again, but surprisingly Alexis Sanchez is starting again despite going off injured at the weekend.

Giroud is given another starting place after scoring twice at the weekend, but Welbeck and Walcott are on the bench if he fails to perform.

So here is the official team….

So, not as many changes as I thought. This team should easily dispose of Sunderland, shouldn’t they?

Tonight’s the night for Sanchez to make a claim for the golden boot.

    1. Arsenal_Girl says:

Would love an Alexis hat trick

      1. Fatboy Gooney says:

I would love a Rondon hat trick (WBA) with plenty of salt and vinegar ??and a diet coke…. Please!

    2. Fatboy Gooney says:

That would be a nice going away present for him, at least he won’t be leaving empty handed and that way he’ll have something to show for his efforts, this season. ??

  2. Arsenal_Girl says:

I hope Alexis is well enough to play
If he isnt close to 100% he shouldnt be risked

We need him for FA Cup final to have a decent chance

Hope Koscielny’s injury is not serious either

  3. yagoonersya says:

Top4 and pritests won’t influence wenger future or transfers according to wenger, it’s like wenger sets his own targets and writes his contract and signs it.Another stale game tonight it’s like Arsenal plays for wenger.I pity our great loyal players like Koscieny, carzorla who are ageing and may retire without ever winning the title,
    mad Wenger out!

  4. Fatboy Gooney says:

What’s the odds on another spud reject scoring against us? ?

  5. Fatboy Gooney says:

I’ll have a tenner on the ex -spud – foe scoring against us tonight, why not.. It seems to be the latest fashion for this season.

  6. yagoonersya says:

Holding the only positive this season ,mustafi and xhaka simply average we should rip the black
cats into shreds they are only playing for pride just like us.The black cats reached their 9th life this season no more survival in the epl Arsenal 3:0 Sunderland, time to scout Pickford they have a better striker than arsenals Giroud in Defoe going to championship

  7. Joseph says:

I would love Alexis goals tonight frankly.

  8. luvdaguns says:

if barca want bellerin than keep him!

  9. Javier says:

where is Lucas Perez?? of course is not in Wenger looser mind

    Wenger out!!!

    1. stubill says:

He’s out injured, if you were a fan you’d know that!

      1. Quantic Dream says:

His thigh injury in March was supposed to keep him out for 3 weeks…we are in May now and he is still injured?

    2. Javier says:

Lucas perez is ready for playing May 13 if you were a fan you didn know that

  10. ArseOverTit says:

    Stadium is empty.
Glad most have got the message.

You’ll probably see that some who did turn up will take the opportunity to let their disgruntled feelings felt!

  11. Fatboy Gooney says:

Wow and that’s against the team that’s finishing bottom of the premier league? ?

I would have pulled Giroud off after the first ten minutes lol
    Wtf is he on? ?
Rob Holding reminding me of the old Tony Adams, getting the ball deep in his own half and running forward with it, unlucky not to have scored at least one already.

Sanchez is playing for himself and Bellerin is ?? full stop, with his wannabe Pires hairstyle lol

  12. Fatboy Gooney says:

Man City 2 nill up, no favours happening there. Our last chance is Middlesbrough ?? that’s if we beat Sunderland tonight.

  13. Joseph says:

We are struggling to master the game,

  14. Javier says:

beautiful geniality from Monreal to Cech it almost cost us the game
