Official teams and preview of Spurs v Arsenal

Arsene Wenger has erred on the side of caution and left the Arsenal and Chile star Alexis Sanchez out of his match day squad altogether, despite the former Barca forward declaring himself willing to play – despite the medical advice that it would be a little bit too soon for him.

Danny Welbeck is properly fit again though, and the boss has brought his other summer signing straight back into the starting XI for the Gunners trip to White Hart Lane for the second North London derby of the season. I am a bit surprised to see that it is the England forward Theo Walcott who misses out though, with club record signing Mesut Ozil keeping his place in a wider role and Santi Cazorla continuing to run things in a central attacking midfield position.

That one change is the only one the manager has made, so Bellerin, Monreal, Ospina and Coquelin all get the chance to keep up their excellent recent form. This is likely to provide a stern test of Arsenal´s new found solidity and balance as well as a test of the character of our players in a vociferous and hostile away game, but that brilliant away performance at Man City is fresh in the memory and no one should be anything but confident.

Ospina
Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal
Coquelin
Welbeck, Ramsey, Cazorla, Ozil
Giroud

subs: Szczesny, Gibbs, Gabriel, Flamini, Rosicky, Walcott, Akpom

Go get em you Gunners!!

  1. get well beck off he is going to be sent off and he is exhausted…gave the ball away 3 times in first minute of half….very poor

    1. He’s been OK in defense and his usual horrible in the attack, we need Walcotts counterattacking ability

  2. so is wenger just waiting until we concede again to make a sub?? we’re getting battered and cant make a single pass

  3. Wenger fks it up again, where’s Walcott and Rosicky, Spurs are all over us in the first half and Wenger doesn’t do anything, Their goal has been coming for the most of the game! Yet for some reason giving in and not controlling the game!

  4. If we lose or draw I will blame Wenger because even if he didn’t start Walcott he should not wait until late in 2nd half to put on Walcott/Rosicky

    Incredible management today. Unbelievable

    1. no wonder ozil doesnt hv much assists with us. he passes to giroud to shoot, but giroud passes to someone else

  5. 3-0 or 4-0 win yes, said that was boll*cks!
We are spineless and slow today.
Wengers team selection has meant his substitutions are tied.
Ozil, Welbeck, Giroud, Ramsey, Mert all poor.
We dont look hugry and we have now pacey outlet to push them back, Walcott, Akpom? Think Wengers waiting to see if they score a second!!

  6. I can’t watch anymore, we being bossed and it not the same as City.
I think ref not dishing out yellows for Spurs plays a role, but we haven’t got going.

And where is Theo, bring him on for Welbeck.

  7. also I’ve noticed we are starting to push up but not get back, Mert and Kos the only men back, deja vu from the black days.

  8. whats hapened to us.. at times like these i miss our posession game..
We just can happen to keep the ball

    1. Yes because last season Tottenham were a much weaker side that purchased a multitude of players that didn’t gel well together. This season they are much stronger. Am i the only one noticing that this is a much strong and in form Tottenham side?

  9. Moaning and moaning again. When this worked against Man City everybody praised Wenger. Now that it is not working as well, he is a poor manager. One thing you all choose to ignore which is sad is how in form Tottenham have been lately. Did you really expect us to walk over the team that beat Chelsea 5-3? Delusional much? Walcott will come on soon and reinforce our counter attack so chill the hell out people.

  10. i cant believe he played ramsey in this game…he has been shit all season and was hopeless to fday wenger cant make proper managerial decision

  11. i wany wenger out after this game…not just because we will lose but because it exposes AGAIN that he is an expert in failure..,its shocking just resign you french joker

  12. 2-1

Thanks Wenger for your wonderful management skills. He will justify it by saying Derbys away are always tough to win

  13. We deserve this. Too much respect shown. Just fcuk this bloody sh*t. Each and every player was sh*t today.
