Reasons for Arsenal concern after Burnley struggles by Dave N.
I am not sure why all the Arsenal fans are so happy and upbeat today. Yes I know that we won for the fourth game in a row, making it five Premier League wins on the spin, but everyone seems to be ignoring the fact that we were very lucky to get the points.
That was not the first time this season either. If Cavani had brought his shooting boots to the game a couple of weeks ago our Champions League group would be looking a lot worse and we would be on course for the same old, same old, finishing second and getting knocked out at the first knockout stage.
It still might happen as well, especially if the team puts in any more lacklustre performances like yesterday. I know there is a bit of leeway for Arsene Wenger at the minute with the 20 year milestone but it has been worryingly familiar stuff from Arsenal and the Frenchman this season.
We have seen some great stuff from the Gunners but also some very average stuff and that has been our problem for years. I hope that the players learn from the narrow escapes they have had with Burnley, PSG and Southampton and make sure that these off days do not keep happening.
So are we really seeing a different and more mature Arsenal or are we just getting away with the same old problems?
